The Inn at Kingsbarns is a newly refurbished (June 2015) family run Inn with high quality accommodation. All rooms have spacious en suites with bath and showers, luxury complimentary toiletries and soft fluffy towels. Our four Bedrooms have a mix of bespoke King size and twin beds with Egyptian cotton bedding. Mini fridge with complimentary fruit and drinks awaiting your arrival, safe, and ironing facilities are also included within each room as well as tea and coffee making facilities. Comfy sofas, chairs and flat screen tv’s complete the rooms. The 2 family rooms are situated on the ground floor and the 2 twin/double bedded rooms are up 1 flight of stairs (18 steps, no elevator). We welcome well behaved dogs in all rooms. Please let us know in advance you are brining your pet. Home cooked food will be available in the Dining Room and there is a small bar to socialise in as well as the snug room to enjoy by the cosy fireside. The name Kingsbarns was derived from the Kings of Scotland storing the grain from the very productive local ambient climate before being transported to Dunfermline and Falkland Palaces from the 11th to the 16th Century, whereafter the Monarchy moved to glorious Edinburgh, Scotland’s Capital City. Situated in the heart of ‘golf country’ this area, called the East Neuk of Fife, has reputedly the most Sunshine hours than any other part of Scotland. The Inn is located in the Conservation Village of Kingsbarns, close to the bus stop and 10 mins walk to the World renowned Kingsbarns Golf Club. We are to be found on the Main route A917 from St. Andrews to the fishing Villages of Crail, Anstruther {Scottish Fisheries Museum), Pittenweem, St. Monans and Elie, where you can still watch fish being landed on a daily basis. Two of Scotland’s greatest icons, whisky and golf were the inspiriation behind the newly opened Kingsbarns Distillery which opened its doors in 2014 St. Andrews is a vibrant University town which has the 3rd oldest University in the English speaking world founded in 1413

We booked a twin room last minute as we were looking for accommodation near St Andrews, and we were not disappointed! We were warmly welcomed by Annette and shown to our very cosy room. The place was immaculate and beautifully decorated to suit the cute, cosy, country inn

Dear Revieweee Many Moons of thanks for a Wonderful Review of The Inn at Kingsbarns, our East Neuk Fish Pie is indeed almost our most popular dish especially if you ask us to mix Cheddar Cheese through the Potato Mash on top,as is our Chicken Curry, Mac n Cheese, Lasagne, Steaks and Chicken Fajitas but they as always are beaten into first place by our Haddock and Chips.I will tell our Housekeepers that you appreciated the cleanliness of the Hotel, thanks. Our Scranhoose Snug is a very popular dinning experience in the East Neuk of Fife as are many other small Hotel/Restaurants in the Area who all work very hard to adjust to all our Seasons and what they bring us. Locals and our Guests or indeed Travellers,Golfers, Walkers and Diners who frequently Holiday in this great and Very Sunny/Dry part of Scotland know that there are no Burger/Pizza/Fast Food outlets to be had in The East Neuk and St Andrews is Six Miles away for their Fix if needed.. Dear Revieweee Sorry for the late Review, Many Moons of thanks for Fantabulous Review of The Inn at Kingsbarns and the Scranhoose Bar/Restaurant and Indeed we do Love Dogs "Woof Woof" as we do our Golden Retriever Keilidh. I will tell our Only Chef Michael about your compliments on his Cooking as indeed i will tell Bethany our Waitress. We as you know are a Wee Countryside Inn in the beautiful Village of Kingsbarns and it has the best Beach for walking Dogs in the East Neuk of Fife with lots of Great walks around this Coastal Area and the bountiful Farmlands and their interlinking roads, where you can seemingly walk forever and get away from the Hamster Wheel of the World.. Maxx P.s I will also tell Suzy and Morag our Housekeepers on your compliments

Good food and drink, with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Ate there three nights one week and enjoyed everything that we tried. Can get a bit busy, as it's not a large inn, and probably need to book dining in order to avoid disappointment.

Our family went to The Inn in Kingsbarns for dinner and it was lovely home made food. There are only 5 tables so probably recommend booking. Would definitely recommend. I had the fish and chips and it was delicious. You can bring dogs too.

Dear Revieweee Many Moons of thanks for a very Welcome Confidence Boost, we are indeed a Dog Friendly Hotel/Pub and Restaurant and the only Bar/Food option between Crail and St Andrews, whilst we can serve lots of thirsty drinkers if they pass our way it is indeed very difficult to accommodate the Summer Season demands or our Wee Scranhoose Restaurant, so as you found out it is better to Book ahead and not be disappointed. Can you please confirm what time breakfast is available?
I’m sorry, we didn’t stay st the Inn but had dinner here. After train Scotland for 10 days, most inns accommodate your timing. Of course, your delicious tea is available any time!! Please ask the Inn this question...and if their breakfast is anything like our dinner, you won’t be disappointed at all!
