I highly recommend Rise Up Surf Retreats to anyone who is passionate about surfing and wants to improve. Joining their intermediate coaching was an absolute game-changer for me. The coaching provided was nothing short of amazing - professional, engaging, and fun. I caught so many more waves, and I wish I had done something like this years ago, as I learned so much! Spending a week surrounded by a group of like-minded individuals, sharing adventures and experiencing so many beautiful moments, forged a bond that felt like family. I have traveled to numerous destinations in the past, but I must admit that Nicaragua will hold a special place in my heart. The surf spots we went to were often secluded, with only a handful of surfers, if any at all. It was a surreal feeling to have those waves all to ourselves. Moreover, I had the pleasure of experiencing two of their accommodations, and they were just stunning hidden gems. The beauty and tranquility of these places left me in awe. Its been a week since Ive returned from Northern Nicaragua with Rise Up, and I'm still in denial about being back in reality. The whole experiance from the team, the food, the location...... has left me absolutely speachless. I have traveled and lived through central and south america ALOT, and this has moved to my number 1 favourite spot and surf retreat ever. Dont think twice about booking with Rise Up, I promise you wont regret it.

What an incredible experience! I stayed at the Luxury Escape in Nica and can’t think of anything about this stay that wasn’t stellar. The location is breathtaking. It took me a bit to absorb the beauty; it felt like a dream. The Rise Up staff members were so warm and friendly, they went above and beyond. I had never surfed before and my coach was very patient and so helpful that I was able to catch my first waves. The food was fresh and delicious. The extra excursions were so much fun. I could go on & on. I was a little nervous about coming by myself, but had no reason to be. There were only a few of us and we hit it off right away. I never chose to spend any of my downtime alone because I was having too much fun with my new friends. Thanks so much Rise Up for an amazing week!…

Such an amazing experience I don’t know where to begin! I stayed at Luxury Escape in Nicaragua and the accommodations were stunning. Pictures don’t do it justice. The Rise-Up team was awesome. I was a beginner surfer and the coaches were so knowledgeable, compassionate and patient. The beaches were nearly deserted which meant we pretty much had the waves to ourselves! I traveled solo and everyone was so warm and friendly - they felt like family in the end :-) The extra activities (horseback riding, tortilla making, volcano boarding, and wake surfing) were soooo much fun and a nice break from surfing. We had our own private chef and the food was first class. I couldn’t recommend Rise-Up enough. Everything from the time that I arrived to the time that I left was on point.

The most amazing surf trip. Coaches and staff are amazing, everything is taken care of for you. Food is fresh, healthy and delicious. Had the best time on this trip and met some wonderful people. Will be returning again for sure.

Beautiful resort with incredible staff! The instructors were so supportive and helpful, I came as a beginner with a lot of fear after a few bad wipeouts, I left confident and loving surfing again ❤️ the food was great, the excursions were super fun! I would absolutely go back again!

I spent a week at Rise Up's Luxury Escape in June 2023. From the moment I exited the airport the trip was an absolute dream. All of the logistics were very smooth, the food was fantastic, the surf coaching was effective and fun, the lodgings were super comfortable, and the staff was A+. Most importantly we had fun, uncrowded waves the whole week. Can't wait for my next Rise Up trip.

Echoing all the other reviews, Rise Up is def everything it offers to be and more. The Nicaragua trip was excellent - the staff were super chill, super helpful, and super fun; the food was amazing - fresh and local; the location was awesome; the activities were a great way to see more of the local community and experience living there. And of course, the surf was SO FUN. 10/10 would do again.

What a ride! The Rise Up retreat in the Osa Peninsula / jungle experience in Costa Rica was a structured, organized, entryway into the unfamiliar rugged jungle landscape. And your surfing will improve!The accommodations were rustic and beautifully crafted. The mosquitoes nets and fans are your best friend at night. The best parts of this retreat are the surfing, yoga, delicious abundant fresh food, and community of like minded surf folks that you will meet. The local surf coaches are great and all of the staff crafted a safe and fun environment to surf in. The surf instructors really care about your experience and Vendela is a really awesome person and effective teacher. Yoga with Maria was without a doubt an essential partnership in this retreat. After a surfing session, her surfing focused yoga classes targeted your sore areas. All while monkeys are playing in the trees overhead. The entire team at Rise Up is super. I’ve learned so much, improved my surfing, and have great photos and videos. Def sign up for the photo / video package. I’ve met new friends for life and have wonderful memories. Would definitely do another surf retreat with Rise Up in the future.…
