A fantastic facility with a variety of accommodation options and great access to kiteboarding and windsurfing. Staff, owners and guests were all fantastic! The partnership with neighbour Pelican Reef added the bonus of a ocean view bar and lunch spot. Great daily yoga! Paddle boards! Last minute, we managed to get a kite board lesson and rental of high end...

Discovered La Ventana in an Internet search and decided immediately to go there, as it was maybe the only ocean spot on a paved road I hadn't seen in Baja Sur. When we arrived at Captain Kirk's, Pam and Chris, the summer caretakers, apologized for the town only being about half-open, as the place only fills up for the winter...

The unit we were staying in was going to be getting upgraded in the near future so there were a few maintenance items in need of repair. We were almost out off Wi-Fi range, too. No tv.. But that's ok for sure. We loved the breakfasts in the a.m. used the kayaks and had good family time Kirk was very...

I recently stayed at Cap Kirk's. We decided to go up the Sea of Cortez from Cabo and see what it was like. We loved it. Very quiet, serene and most of all relaxing. I loved the water, you are far enough down into Cortez that the waters are warm, calm and clear. We spent most of our days kicking...

Beautiful property, clean and comfortable casitas, unbeatable access to the beach and water sports, great kiteboarding instruction and rental facilities, and warm and welcoming staff (and guests). I will return as soon as I possibly can.

We loved staying at Captain Kirk's. Kirk and Kitty were great hosts. It's ideally located on the long beach: upwind for kiting, keeping you above the fray, or with plenty of space to downwind if desired. The accommodations and setting are lovely. The inclusive breakfast was hearty and also offered good times to hang out with other wind-loving guests. That...

We spent four nights at this spot last week. Though it is still low season it was already getting nice and windy for the kiting enthusiasts. There's not a whole lot of things to do in La Ventana when there is no wind but Captain Kirk's very cheap during the low season and our casa was really great and comfortable....

We spent 2 nights at Captain Kirks a few weeks ago. The house was great, spacious and plenty of room for the 4 of us. We were there after the season so there was not much going on and not many other guests, which is ok with us, however I did expect a restaurant close by or some sort of...

Sorry about the summer managers not doing their job - we will be hiring someone else for next off season.

We just come back from Captain Kirk's where we spent a week and everything was perfect. It's nice and quiet, well designed, the casitas are just the right size and it's very clean. Everybody is very friendly and gives good tips whatever you need. We had a charming Valentine dinner with other guests organized by Kitty and Kirk. Can't wait...

“Every room is probably great - my casitas was the farthest up the hill from the beach, and still it felt close and all was great, so probably the casitas even closer to the beach are even better - so, it seems like you can't go wrong with any room you get here! All rooms seemed quiet and gorgeous.”
