Wonderful place! Located on a side street right on the water, quiet, outdoor kitchen provided plus they have a restaurant! Its completely fenced in, so no cows going thru the garbage, etc. Clean, nice bathrooms, wonderful people! You can't go wrong here. We were in our camper so didn't use the rooms but they were very nice. Don't know the... More

Been here now three times and eveyrytime we love the relaxed hospitality and now the kitchen is offering great breakfasts and a few times a week dinner. Don't expect your regular hotel operation. This is different. The rooms are clean but simple with hot and cold water when needed. If you love dogs, this place is even better as we... More

I think this place is the perfect compromise between a hotel and camping. Each room has a designated refrigerator and food storage space in the communal kitchen. You can launch your kite right from the beach here, too. Large common area if you want to be social. Located near good local restaurants.

Very restful experience. Hostess MARINA and staff very pleasant. Rooms are all very clean and easily accessible from the playa area. Wonderful beach front site. Paddle boards are free. Several nearby facilities have Windsurfer and Kite board equip for rent, as well as instructors for newbies. All rooms have a numbered refridge and storage area under the playa roof with... More

This is my fourth time to La Ventana, but the first time i actually stayed at Kurt and Marina's. I usually rent a house for family and friends and had friends who stayed at Kurt's. It is a great little hotel on the best strip of beach in the bay. Most of the time we had the beach to ourselves... More

Kurt N Marina's place is very easy - a large room, decent bathroom and fully equipped kitchen/eating area beside the 2 storied motel-like accommodation. If one was staying longer than the one night I did, self-catering would be very easy to manage. For the price, it was very good valuet.

I showed up with no reservations and got a very nice room. pleasantly surprised with the standard of care at this hotel, very nice staff, busy with Thursday slider party, but very helpful anyway. The only thing missing was a cold beer

Never heard of this place until I stumbled in. Marina was warm and very welcoming. They have a community kitchen where you bring the chow and cook it and share if you want to. Since I had brought nothing they said head over to the local store and get some sodas and avocados. Kind hearted group made you feel at... More

Thank you for your kind comments about Kurt n Marina's. Thank you for noticing the warm and friendly atmosphere under the palapa (kitchen area). The Palapa gives a true sense of community, a home away form home. Thanks again! More

I just read Stewart's review and had to reply with my own. I just got back from five days at Kurt n Marina and had absolutely one of the best trips of my life. I'm a long time windsurfer new to kitesurfing and this was my first trip to La Ventana. I had no idea what to expect. I had... More

Weve stayed at several places in LV and this place ranks the lowest IMHO. Rock hard beds. Room smelled like sewage. Hot water didn't work. Stairwells had rat feces on them. Would not recommend.
