We arrived here quite tired and wet. It was raining hard and we travel by motorbike. So it would have been nice a little help from the staff. But, although the guy in reception was kind, we have to carry our luggage to the second floor by foot because there's no lift. The room was spacious and has a terrace....

Nice and spacious room, bathroom and terrace (although a little dust was found on the lamp beside the bed). We were right next to the wellness area. Mini bar was empty though, not even a bottle of water. Has to be ordered. Fruit bowls but no fruit. My husband slept like a baby but I kept waking up (hot/ cold/...

The hotel itself was nice, comfortable beds, nice decor in the lobby and rooms, and excellent food and massages. The only downside was that my room was a bit dated and showed signs of wear (cracked tiles in bathroom, shower screen not very practical...more water on the floor than it stopped). Overall, the staff at the desk, and at the...

Pros: The receptionist were super friendly and helpfull! Our Superior room was cute. Very spacious and fun with old renaissance-like feel to it. Bath with whirlpool. We liked that there was a pool and a hottub in the wellness downstairs. Also a nice infra red-cabin. Nice restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel. Loads of beautiful hikes to do from...

We have been there for the weekend and booked based on the nice pictures from the Internet site. What a disappointment! The hotel is not bad, but needs renovation to propose rooms and environment more enjoyable. Moreover the prices are quite high as well so a better quality is definitely expected.

We were concerned after reading really mixed reviews that this wasn't going to be a positive way to spend 3 nights in the Black Forest but we found the hotel to be generally friendly, comfortable and excellently located in the charming town of Badenweiler. Our superior room turned out to be a ground floor suite with really superb lounge, large...

We began exploring Black Forest by staying 3 nigths there. Arrived by taxi from Basel - Euros 80. We had a huge room, enormous bed and a folding bed for our daughter, sofa, armchairs, table, balcony, kitchen and a bath with thermal water + bathrobes. Loved the swimming pool and breakfast was second to none. It is not a 4...

Decor (and aroma, oddly) of an old folks home that had been styled by a pensioner in the 70's. Quite a surprise really, even considering the rather old-fashioned home interior appointments (by modern British standards) that you commonly see in Austria and rural southern Germany. Staff somewhat stuffy, acting like they are in a much grander establishment. Rooms spacious, bed...

We enjoyed an awesome weekend over Easter in Badenweiler and in the Hotel Ritter. The food is delicious, the fish buffett on Easter Friday was amazing! The wellness area is pretty new and with lots of light. The rooms are very spacious but a bit old fashioned and could need some renovation. The bathrooms are good though. The bar serves...

We attempted to stay there for 1 night...we decided not to stay because: - hotel is nothing close to a 4-star hotel...when asked for someone to help with the luggage, the answer was that "this is not a 5-star hotel" and thus we need to carry our own belongings - no elevator; had to use the staircase to get to...
