My husband and I visited Konstanz together with our two grown children in July. We stayed two nights at this hotel and really appreciated the comfortable beds and pillows after a long day of sightseeing, and the floor to ceiling windows which made the room bright and cheerful in the mornings. I have mobility issues so my husband and I stayed in a very spacious room with an equally spacious bathroom. Our kids stayed in a smaller room down the hall, but it was also nice and clean.
The continental breakfast was delicious and abundant and gave us energy to continue our tours in Old Town. The lady in charge of the cafeteria was very sweet and helpful. The young man atthe reception desk did his best to make our stay pleasant, and we appreciated the bus tickets he gave us. The young lady from Spain at the reception was incredible too! We enjoyed chatting in Spanish with her.
Overall, this hotel is worth it if you are going to spend a couple of days in Konstanz and want to stick to a budget. We hope to stay there again the next time we visit.

I have been here with my family just for a night
This is a low cost hotel with simple service.
The rooms were simple but very clean.
The position is out of Konstanz in the industrial area.
The staff was very professional and friendly

Having later stayed at the Ibis Budget near Libourne in France, this hotel was markedly superior in quality to the French equivalent. It adjoins a Budget Style hotel although each has its own reception area, though manned by the same staff. The rooms are modern, clean, comfortable and tidy and provide a good rest for an overnight stop en-route elsewhere. As might be expected, the Budget Hotel does not provide a restaurant or bar but it does offer self-service Continental breakfast which was fine. Guests, however, can go next door to the adjoining hotel to use the excellent bar and outdoor seating area. The staff in both hotels that we encountered at the bar and reception were friendly and helpful.

The hotel is located on an industrial estate very close to the Swiss border but there is a McDonalds (or it may be a Burger King!) within walking distance as well as a Chinese restaurant, where my wife and I ate. The food was okay, but I would not say any more than that. There are also plenty of bars and restaurants along the River Rhine which, we were told was just 10-15 minutes walk from the hotel.

For an Ibis Budget hotel, this is exceptionally good and I would hesitate to recommend it to others even if the location as somewhat far from the town.

Imagine a hotel so budget that they will only clean your room upon request and where parking around the hotel shows big sign forbidding hotel guests to park - otherwise you’ll get towed and fined. Imagine a hotel so budget that your room isn’t clean upon arrival and only one person at the reception (despite a fully booked hotel) in order to save money. Imagine a hotel charging and surcharging you as if you were in the center of town, while in reality you are on an industrial/commercial area far away from city.
Can you imagine?
Then stay away from this hotel.

I have to say I'm a Ibis lover and I'm always happy to stay in a hotel of this brand. Ibis Budget Konstanz was just another positive experience for me, I felt so comfortable there! I'm a no frills traveller and I often have a tight budget, I have to say this hotel had one of the best value for money I've seen in years. For a very reasonable price I got a big, bright and clean room, with modern furniture and a very comfortable bed. Just basic service were offered, but I had everything I needed. The bathroom was also good sized and the shower had an amazing water pressure. I'd love to get a room like that anytime, whereas cheap places are too offer run down. Instead of that, everything was up to date and working perfectly at Ibis. The staff at the reception was fantastic, I got a lot of useful infos from them and I was always attended with a smile. Maybe the position isn't any special, but in 10 minutes by bus you're downtown, so it was definitely ok for me. Plus I was given a card to travel by bus for free. To sum it up: I'd be glad to return any time!

Overall clean room - comfortable bed - excellent soundisolation - had a wonderful sleep. Breakfast is lovely with large choice of fresh items (no hot food). If the parking in front of the hotel is full - drive down to the in-house parking garage - it is worth it.

This hotel wasn't my first option actually, after all my targeted hotel were fully booked. Surprisingly, the room was much more bigger than i thought, bcoz i had a bad experience with one of ibis hotel in another country. My son loved the bunk bed and he slept there. The bed and pillows were so comfy for us. The breakfast was ok with fair price. The hotel also has a parking space with fair price too, free wifi and the best of all is the big window and location, near burger king, toom and Aldi. Overall, we'll stay here again if we're in konstanz!

Having done a bit of a road trip round Germany this was the WORST hotel by far. I can't think of a good point about it. Well the Chinese next door is excellent value and a fun experience on a Sunday evening. That's it. Hotel is a long way from the town, you'll need a bike to get in, otherwise the walk is a long and not very pretty one. Hotel located on industrial estate. Hotel parking expensive, all nearby parking is not for Hotel. The hotel is expensive and very basic *think prison cell basic. Yes it has a bed, tiny pillow (only one per person) small TV, that is filthy behind. Slow WiFi. Bathroom OK, there is a hair dryer and a towel each. Lino on floor (torn and dirty) one plastic garden chair. That's it. No comfort and very expensive. This was the dearest hotel we stayed in by far, and the absolute worst. Definitely would not return to this hotel (or indeed this brand). Makes premier inn seem top drawer. There isn't even a kettle!

We've been staying at Ibis hotels (nee Etap) since 2009 and have had no regrets. And Konstanz has all 3 versions
We view Ibis as the hotel equivalent of Ikea. Everything is clean, well maintained, and organized/efficient. Their staff are always extremely helpful, considerate and usually are able to assist us with our lack of German - by speaking some English
We found this hotel to be all the above.
The breakfast - like all Ibis - consists of deli-style meats and cheeses, cereals, breads and some yogurt. Just enough to get you ready for your day ahead
This hotel is less than a 5 minute walk to the nearby bus-stop (4/13 or 6) that takes you directly into the Old Town (in about 10 minutes). The hotel provides you with a 'guest pass' which allows you free access to public transportation
We highly recommended this hotel if you're interested in a clean, safe and accommodating hotel that doesn't have all the bells and whistles

Clean, Comfortable affordable convenient and attentive helpful staff. We were travelling with bikes and there was a secure facility in the basement car park for this.

The hotel is peripheral to the town centre but there are a couple of restaurantsclose by and an ALDI directly opposite for food if you want to eat in your room

Very good bar and snack facilities too and a good out door seating area
