Spent 2 nights here as part of a cycling tour. Found all staff to be extremely pleasant and so helpful. Our room was on the 4th floor, nicely furnished and sparklingly clean. No aircon in the room, but we were provided with a fan when we asked. Nice bottle of sparkling water in the room. Breakfast had a good selection,... More

3 double bedrooms, one more cozy than the other. Good and aboundant breakfast, very nice dinner in their restaurant on the first floor. Only one remark: we missed the ice-box in the rooms and with this heat it would have been very appreciated. Too bad, otherwise I would have rated this hotel 5 points.

My wife and I spent 4 non-consecutive nights at the Barbarossa during our two week bicycle ride around Lake Constance and the greater region. The hotel is right in the middle of the city's old-town and shopping district, ten minutes away from the train station. The centuries-old building is a little worn, but let's say charming. At the same time... More

If you like a centrally located hotel where the welcome is warm and helpful rather than merely polite, where they have real coat-hangers, a bottle of water in the room that is a gift, easy wifi, crisp linen, friendly staff, large rooms and bathrooms, and an excellent breakfast, then this is the Hotel for you. Additionally, antique furniture, marble busts,... More

We stayed two nights at this hotel and had a family room which consists of a separate double bed and shower in one room and a triple in the other, with another bathroom. The rooms were cute, large enough but I would fault the double bed. It was because we were only there two nights and we wanted to stay... More

The Hotel Barbarossa was our home base for a one-week cycling trip around Lake Constance, Germany. We loved the hotel. The gentlemen at the front counter were wonderfully friendly, knowledgeable and very good at their jobs. Both of them made us feel as if they knew us and we were long-time customers (which we were not!). The hotel is very... More

This is a lovely hotel with lots of character and history. My bedroom made me smile. Lovely cheerful colours and the room felt light and airy. The hotel has an outdoor patio restaurant and is situated right in the centre of a wonderful area of town with lots of shops, restaurants and cobbled stone streets. Perfect to do tourist stuff.... We loved this hotel in the charming town of Konstanz . The staff in reception are friendly, helpful and well organised. Don't forget to book a parking spot which is about 300m away . We booked half board thank goodness and we had some of the best food, tasty and beautifully presented, that we had in a fortnight. The maitre'd... More

Three of us dined here as our nearby hotel (Graf Zeppelin) was holding a function and could not cater for us. We all had a really good meal - really nice food - beautifully served by a charming, competent and friendly waitress. Will certainly come back the next time we are in Konstanz.

Had weeks holiday here in June,no indoor bar, and no lounge to sit in, and nowhere to sit in reception area so as weather was bad we could not sit outside, so had to sit in our bedroom which was reached by many narrow twisting, turning corridors a real Rabbits Warren! Situated at the back of building overlooking a roof... More
