We stayed for 2 nights either end of our cycle around the lake. Had 2 different family rooms, which were both really good. Small kitchette that we didn’t use, but usual 2 rings, sink, coffee machine and fridge (beer, water, wine, soft drinks - really reasonably priced) Hotel has loads of character and just a lovely place with extremely helpful staff. Train station within 8 mins walking distance. Breakfast great, which you collected and ate in room. Could get hot water and tea/coffee anytime of the day. About 15 minute walk from Konstance, but really pleasant. Couple of restaurants close by and good supermarkets. We would never have booked ourselves, but really pleased we stayed here. Amazing!!!

The ABC was one of the places we stayed as part of our cycle tour around Lake Constance and so we had no role in the booking process. A former barracks, the way in which the building had been adapted to providing accommodation reminded me of a youth hostel (and it's a very long time since I stayed in a youth hostel). We stayed at the ABC on our first and last nights in Konstanz, in a different room each time (room 4 the first night and room 5 on the last night). The check-in went well on both occasions and the reception staff spoke good English (certainly better than I spoke German). I was a little disappointed when I first saw our room - not ideal for a family - but it was certainly functional. Although rooms 4 and 5 were similar in content and decor (just the mirror-image of each other), I preferred room 5. Both rooms are on the ground floor on the approach to the breakfast room. I thought they might be noisy in the mornings because of this, but they were surprisingly quiet.
Don't expect purpose-built comfort. Nevertheless, the rooms were comfortable, clean and well equipped (good shower room, a cooker and hair-dryer; no A/C but a fan was provided). I was impressed by the breakfast buffet - much better than I had anticipated.
If you arrive in Konstanz by train, get the bus (number 2,3 or 12) to Bismarcksteig. It took us a while to work out the directions from the bus stop to ABC, but we got there eventually.

This hotel is a bit out of the town centre in a not altogether attractive residential area but if you are on bikes, as we were, it only takes about 10 minutes to get there. We stayed there twice as part of a cycling trip. The first night the room was OK but the bathroom did smell of drains... On our second stay we had a really nice room. All the rooms seem to come with kitchen sink, hob and fridge which would be great if you were staying for longer or were on a budget. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was good.

VERY loud. Construction all day beginning at 7am. Loud parties at night that the hotel does nothing to stop. Not in a convenient location. Overly priced. Stay elsewhere this hotel is not worth your time if you want vacation and are used to high service standards.

We stayed at the ABC Hotel on three separate occasions during our bicycle tour around Lake Constance. The rooms were clean and comfortable; the staff was very helpful and accommodating.

Our first night was spent in Room #25 which overlooked the outside socializing, smoking table. Not a good start to our tour as the room was stifling hot and we could not open the windows due to the late night chatting around the table.

Our second and third nights were much more pleasant; Room #4 and #5. Much quieter and slightly larger.

Breakfasts ticked all the boxes; no complaints.

Not centrally located or close to restaurants but clean, comfortable and safe.

Comment: the floor of the shower is very slippery. Be careful not to slip.

Stayed here one night while on a bicycle trip around Lake Constance. It's a nice hotel set in one of Constance's neighborhoods across the river and north of the Old Town. My studio-like room was in a nearby annex. No complaints. Roomy. If you like to walk or have a bike, it's fine, but it's location makes it a bit too far afield for me. That said, the staff was very friendly and the provided breakfast was solid.

We stayed here for four nights. The hotel is located in a building of the former french barracks. It is very quiet, the rooms (rather suites) are very spacious. Ours had a sleeping room with a huge and very comfy bed, a large living room with couch, desk and kitchenette, ideal if travelling with children. Nice and fuctional, clean bathroom, toilet in separate room. Parking in front of the building in courtyard with no other traffic

This is a pretty, clean hotel in a nice neighborhood; it is about a 15-minute walk to the Altstadt or the train station so not the most conveniently located for tourists. The hotel staff were VERY pleasant and accommodating - there is no elevator, and the front desk receptionist insisted on carrying my wife's heavy bag up to the 4th floor so I wouldn't have to make two trips. There is no restaurant on-site but plenty of options in town, although most are across the bridge in the Altstadt. We made two different stays on both ends of our journey, and both rooms were huge, and nicely appointed. This is an old building but has been very nicely restored as a hotel.

I had stayed at this hotel for almost 3 months starting from June. This is one of the best hotel i have stayed with such a competitive rate.

This hotel is centrally located. 5 min walk away from Konstanz lake and 15 min walk away from city centre.

The rooms are really spacious with good ventilation. There is a balconey which is opening to greenery. The toilets are spic and clean. There is a glass covered bath area.

The rooms are having cooking range and basic utensils so that one can do the cooking.

The room and bathrooms are getting cleaned on daily basis. There is laundry facility at nominal rate.

There is no airconditioner in the rook. But table fans are provided on request.

All rooms are having iron box and iron table.

The wifi connection is really fast.

Room has a small fridge.

The complementory breakfast which served from 7 am till 10 am is excellent. The breakfast spread is very good . It is really worth for money.

All the receptionists and other servers are very co operative and attenditive.

i will strongly recommend this place for short and long stay.

We stayed at the ABC as part of our cycling tour. We were booked for our first and last nights of our tour. Our group had 4 rooms and they were all nicely appointed and with plenty of room. A small kitchen area was useful. Breakfast was good quality. Staff friendly. Well located for access to old city. Bus ride to main station with luggage. Highly recommend.

La caserne s'appelait le Quartier Maujean. C'est l'escadron de transport du 413e BCS et le PC du bataillon qui occupaient le bâtiment de l'hôtel.
