The rooms are small but nice, newly refurbished (it's April 2022), cleanliness could be improved (I found several long dark hairs on my bed), the area is nice with lots of green, walking distance to the Thermal Baths Constance and to the lake, but the breakfast was so bad, it impacted the whole experience. The breakfast staff were uncoordinated, things were constantly unavailable, the staff had to be reminded to refill, the food was low quality, the coffee machine constantly busy or empty. We were told the situation is better on weekends so maybe avoid staying there during the week.

We stayed here for 3 nights. It is a brilliant location to get to everywhere. Perfect area for walking . Our only disappointment were the outside areas. We had a downstairs room with an outside patio - the grass was so long it looked a complete mess. They cut it a few days after we arrived but it still looked a mess. The reception and restaurant staff were a total asset to the hotel , all helpful and soo friendly . We will be back

The room was very outdated and no air conditioner which made summer nights hot and sticky. Bed was Very small but then the room was very small. Getting in and out of shower is very dangerous especially if you can't high jump! WiFi is a total joke, only works part of the time and then you must be down by the office for it to connect.
The good part was the restaurant and bier garten, nice Italian family runs it and the food and staff were excellent.

We stayed in 6 different hotels while in Germany. Waldhaus Jakob was the best and the least expensive of them all. We were upgraded to a room in the new section. Large room with a porch. The bathroom was cleverly designed into 3 sections, sink, toilet, shower. Breakfast was wonderful. In the old section of the hotel which is charming. The hotel is in the middle of a forest area on the lake. It was a 30 minute walk to the ferry to Meersburg. There is free parking at the hotel and a bus stop across the street if you want to go into town

Very nice hotel with a view over the lake. Close to the lake and to a "Freibad". On the other side there are woods which makes it a perfect place to stay with a dog. Nice staff, good restaurant and outside biergarten.

This was night 2 of the European expedition. Nestled in a quite little village about 200m from the lake. We walked all the way along the lake into town which is a lovely walk but a good 30 minutes. Wifi was good and free, great selection of beer and wine and the restaurant was very good also.

I stayed one night for a business trip and was simply looking for a comfortable and quiet room with a good value for money. The hotel is located right by the Lake Constance with great views. The distance to the city center is about 3-4 km. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel which I didn't use. I jogged right by the lake to the city center and back which is really a picturesque route.

I was accommodated in a rather small single room that had everything the business-Traveller needed, of course including wifi. It was nothing special but was clean and the bed was comfortable.

I really liked the restaurant which had pretty good local food. Breakfast-buffet was great with lots of choices including fresh fruits.

I can recommend this hotel especially if you're looking for a reasonably priced comfortable house a little outside the city center but with great access to the lake.

170 Euros a night for mattresses on the floor. Not joking. Our room wasn't in the hotel proper, but in what seemed like a converted barn where they stuck all the families. We had the attic on the third floor (no elevator) that seemed like it was recently converted from a storage space--tiny windows, cheap mismatched furniture, tiny bath, useless Wifi. Breakfast was the cheapest of bulk grocery fair, nothing homemade (maybe the diced apples). The only thing this place has going for it is its location. The main building just isn't being maintained. The beer garden gets pretty noisy at night.

This is a lovely cosy feeling hotel. The beautiful garden has lovely views of the lake. The staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious, and the hotel is in close proximity to a popular swimming beach, as well as the local warm swimming pool centre. Breakfast was ample and tasty. We would have loved to stay there for a week, but unfortunately only spent one night. The restaurant was good, but a little confusing, as all the staff were Italian, and it was a little strange trying to order food in Italian (whilst in Germany!) We would like to go back to this hotel some day.
