Very comfortable and up to date in a quiet corner of the old town. A little tricky to find at first but easy to ask for help from locals. We tried to e tend stay but booked so book early as it's very popular with all kinds of travelers. Excellent breakfast buffet and very friendly and helpful staff.

We recently stayed 3 nights in this beautiful small b&b. The breakfast is something else, and it is worth staying there for that alone. Our room overlooked the street on the ground floor, which might be a problem if you want to sleep with open windows. But the street is very quiet and no disturbance. We had free parking nearby,...

We found this hotel to be one of best. It's just outside the town center so quieter, but only a few steps from center, so very convenient. It very comfortable and great care invested many artistic details that takes the decor far from the usual "hotel kitsch." Also decided "klimtian" bias was pleasant to see. While we spoke German, English...

The St Georg is a gem of a hotel on a quiet street 10 minutes walk from the centre. The hotel bedrooms have been recently refurbished and are of a good standard with comfortable beds and excellent shower/bathroom. We had a top floor bedroom which had good light, the lower floors are shaded at the front by mature trees. The...

I've just spent 2 nights here on business (in Hannover) and must echo other reviewers' comments about the quietness of this excellent and welcoming little hotel. Hotel Garni is a great place to relax, but only a few minutes' walk from some decent restaurants and bars in Celle's delightful historical half-timbered centre. The room was clean, a decent size and...

Dear Mr. Dimmock, thank you for your assessment. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us and you were able to recover a little after a stressful day. We hope, we see you again one time.

The hotel is situated on a quiet pedestrian street about 5 minutes walk from the centre of Celle - which we found to be a great balance between noise (none) and convenience. We stayed on the bottom floor and although the room decor was obviously a little old & bare bones, it was very clean and the bathroom recently renovated....

We stayed for 2 nights in August 2015. The room was quite spacious and comfortable and had a view over a pedestrian boulevard ( we were on the top floor). The hotel is charming both inside and out and Engelbert and Renate were wonderful hosts. It is only a short walk to the main historical/shopping area of Celle. Breakfast was...

We visited for 2 nights, during the Celle wine festival. The hotel is tucked away on a pedestrianized street, so be cautious about your sat nav! It really is there, despite what mine told me. It is well worth finding - 3 houses from the 17th century, modernised to a high standard. It is a 5 minute stroll from the...

This one time, we found the favourable rating on TripAdvisor not justified. The hotel is not bad, but in our view, neither location, nor staff welcome, nor the facilities justify an excellent rating. Maybe it was the ground floor rooms? Maybe just an average welcome, not more? Maybe the lack of attention for small details...such as the bad wifi... Anyway,...

I visited this hotel on several occasions and I can really advise it if you like a hotel that puts its guests on the first place. The location is unique, on walking distance to the center, but you have to know where to park. The best is to call the hotel, so they can sent you directions by mail. Once...
