We probably chose this place because we are New Zealanders and so is one of the hosts. But our choice was very much justified. Our room was spacious, lovely bed, very good bathroom facilities. Ian and Sophie took the time to spend some time with us and discuss the area. Very nice breakfast. Very pretty garden. Very reasonable price. Nice... More

Absolutely fabulous and so peaceful. Set in the gorgeous village of St Carreuc and only 15 mins from the ancient city of Moncontour. Lovely welcome from Sophie & Ian. Rooms comfortable, clean and spacious with wonderful views. Was also really pleased that room had a decent strong hairdryer. From the morning I arrived till the day I left, Ian and Sophie treated me like an old friend, took me for a drive around the region, and provided friendship or privacy easily and naturally. Ian's breakfasts were a treat. The baker delivers every morning and there are lashings of butter and home made conserves with very good coffee -... More

The chalets manged by an amazing couple who doing all by themselves, cleaning, laundry and ironing, replace sheets and towels, making breakfast and give a lot of guidance for traveling around. Their touch seems to be everywhere in the house, all full with real nice collection of old tools, small statues, pictures and photos, all in great taste, picked up... More

Found this little gem after searching last minute for a biker friendly B&B near St Malo. As fellow bikers, Ian & Sophie made me more than welcome after my long ride north, even preparing dinner for me. Beautifully renovated with tasteful decor and quality furnishings, Les Petit Gallais offers a choice of brightly painted themed rooms with full sized shutters... More

We've stayed at Ian and Sophie's B&B a few times now and each time, it almost feels like coming home! Along with Buddy the dog, they make us feel very welcome and are always happy to recommend places for us to visit and eat. The fact that French Sophie speaks perfect English was a huge bonus for us - we... More

This is a perfect rural b and b with clean attractive rooms in a beautifully converted property in a quiet French village. I had an excellent and generous breakfast and the hosts were very welcoming. Well worth a visit. Go!

We love coming back to Ian and Sophie's. We share a love of motorcycling and love to ride around this beautiful countryside. Their inn is charming with modern rooms with great beds and bath. Love the quiet also the great tip about the delicious moules and frites nearby. We will return!

My wife and I together with our 11-month old son stayed almost a week at this charming B&B which made for a perfect place to both relax and explore the area. The room was beautiful and clean and much better sound-proofed than others we've stayed in on our trip in northern France. We got a cot for the little one... More
