I stayed here for 2 nights only because I really needed help with lots of bags and boxes after several months in an apartment locally. I decided to splurge on a hotel with all the facilities I needed - parking, bellmen, food on the premises. And the only room available was one with a lake view. It was indeed a treat ! Staff was super helpful (more than I could have expected), the premises were beautiful (the outside dining area was really delightful) and the room so comfy. Now I am tempted to go again!

Room Tip: Lake view is super. I had room 111 - a corner facing lake. Just not great if you are super tall...

This is one of the best hotels we have ever visited, and one of the best hotels of the Bodensee. Historical grandeur, a huge park bordering the lake and modern comfort. Now you have decided to spend some money: go for a room with on the lake side - the street side is quite noisy. Two years ago we had booked a cheaper room and two very kind ladies at the reception - Khdija and Diana - gave us a better room. We will be back soon and have now booked a room with park and lake view. Breakfast is fabulous and memorable.

We have stayed here for the last 7 nights. The Hotel is very comfortable and it's position on the Lake is wonderful. Our room (Superior Lake View) was very spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable and the Cleaning Staff were very thorough. We had several evening meals in the Restaurant, which were very enjoyable, and again, the Serving staff were very friendly and attentative. Special thanks to all for making my birthday, one to remember. We do not hesitate in recommending this lovely Hotel.

Booked 3 rooms via booking.com, only 2 of us arrived so I appreciate we have to pay for 3 rooms. No issue there.
However the best room was pre paid yet they insisted on me staying in my allocated room which was a shoebox overlooking a carpark, rather than letting me use the pre-paid lakeside room.
The bed was hard as a bench, no milk for the tea, towels hard, generally very very unimpressed .
Over priced, uncomfortable, fairly unhelpful and suggest you stop elsewhere

A fabulous hotel! Everything about our stay was perfect - really fabulous. The rooms are week appointed and spacious, the dining room and lobby area attractive with beautiful furnishings. The breakfasts were robust and delicious and champagne on Sunday! Looking out to the lake and walking the property was quite a dream

Fantastic Hotel. Very clean and cozy place to be. Very polite staff and awesome breakfast. I wish i had a few more days. The bed was soft the bathrooms were also clean. The garden and the view from there is what i needed to get a relaxed drink. Truly great time

This is a pretty building in a lovely little town, but for a 4 star hotel certain things were not completely satisfactory. The young man at check-in was not very helpful and the information we received was not quite adequate. One would expect breakfast to be included at the rate we paid, and the cost of parking was an added disappointment. In the off-season, parking should be free. The room was absolutely beautiful, but the beds were horribly soft and uncomfortable, and generally the hotel seemed noisy (we could hear the TVs in the rooms near us, as well as conversations nearby). The lady at check-out was much more pleasant, but I don't think I would go back again.

We stayed one night during a cycling holiday. Our room faced the lake and (thanks to some stunning spring weather) the view was spectacular. The room was very stylish, well-appointed and clean. We received a warm and professional welcome from the gentleman who checked us in and good service throughout. We can also highly recommend the hotel restaurant.

This is a lovely hotel in an excellent location. Stepping out the front of the hotel and turning right leads you right into the center of town. Everything is in easy walking distance of the hotel. Just a block away is a Muller department store (like a mini Wal-mart) for toiletries, snacks, toys, kitchenware, stationary, etc. There is a small Christmas market in the center of town mid December. The hotel served an excellent , wide variety buffet breakfast with fine linens and china and staff was courteous and never rushed you if you chose to linger. The lobby and restaurant was decorated for Christmas and there is a small selection of giftware, excellent priced in the lobby, with items I did not view anywhere else in the town. The grounds are lovely (although it was winter when we were there) and there are walking paths along the waterfront for miles at the rear of the hotel. Parking is a free of charge a short walk from the lobby (not the most convenient with luggage). Staff were very friendly with an excellent knowledge of English and allowed us to stay past our check out time for our convenience. There are french doors that open in your rooms but could use a good cleaning. The bathroom was a good size with shower stall (just the beginnings of some grout/mold issues); otherwise was spotless. There was no vanity countertop in our bathroom which would have been helpful. The carpet and chairs were a bit worn for wear; closets were a generous size. There is a separate building which we had reservations for (closer to the water); however, upon check-in we were given a room in the main building. This is far more convenient for the breakfast/restaurant/lobby in the colder winter months as you have to walk outside to get to the main building. We would definnitely stay here again. My only minor complaint is that there was never staff offering to help with luggage which was tricky when managing the two large doors and step at the entrance by yourself. There is a glass elevator once you are inside. Uberlingen is a wonderful, quaint town with excellent restaurants and I imagine extremely busy in the summer months. If you ask for a room on the back side (water side) you have wonderful views; the hotel was extremely quiet during our stay; this may not be the case in high season.

This is an excellent hotel, in a great town. We have stayed there 4 years in a row for an exhibition in Friedrichshafen, it is well worth the hour's drive each way each day. We are staying again in July 2011. Staff are excellent, surroundings beautiful, hotel is very clean, everything is of a very good stantard.

Hello! The parking is on-site but it is not "secure" as such. It is an open-air lot that anyone could walk through at any time.
