Got a good impression of this place since the first mail contact. Beeing there met all expectation (and maybe exceeded them a little).
Owners and all staff were superfriendly and helpful.
Had a room with balcony in the new enlargement of the hotel on the quiet side. Room was nice, big and stylish.
Hotel almost at the lake shore, only a few minutes walk away from the citys most crowded places. Peaceful and quiet but near everything.
Good breakfast and super service!

Our arrival at the hotel corresponded with the new owners' first day and what a great job they did in the week that we stayed there. The hotel is very well located, has private parking and a garage to store bicycles. The owners could not have been more helpful and our room (we chose one of the theme rooms) was clean and quiet with a well equipped and spacious shower room. The breakfast room is spacious and the breakfasts were exceptional - copious, varied and tasty. We were able to make good use of the sun room in the garden where the owners served us good local wine at reasonable cost. This is certainly a hotel we shall recommend to our friends and shall stay at again when next in the area.

Myself and a colleague (both from the travel industry) stayed here for a weekend at the end of August and absolutely loved it. The location is really fantastic, walking distance to the town and a stones throw away from the shores of Lake Constance. The owners were very friendly and made thoughtful and helpful recommendations on activities to do during our stay. We shared a twin room which was well quiet, comfy and well equipped. Infact, the pillows and duvets were so soft we decided it was like sleeping in cotton wool - delicious!

There are too many things to list on here, but the attention to detail was exceptional. Lots of quirky and interesting decoration around the hotel and the breakfast area was just delightful. The hotel has a beautiful garden and off road parking is available. In 10 years of travel I have never once written a review on Tripadvisor but we both agreed that we had to say just how nice the Hotel Villa Rosengarten was so others can enjoy it. I will defiantly be returning with my husband in the not to distant future! Outstanding!

Just enjoyed a short stay here. Comfortable room in the newer wing with sunny balcony. Very good buffet breakfasts served in the conservatory style dining room or in the garden alongside. The hotel is right by the town rose garden (the garden was being refurbished while we were there, and is probably finished by now)

We found this hotel by chance on our way to a holiday in Austria.. We liked it so much, that when we reached Austria we decided that there was no hotel to compare with it, so we came back from Austria and spent a week at this delightful place. The new owners had just taken over a few days before we arrived and did a wonderful job in attending to the needs of every guest. The hotel was spotlessly clean with beautiful rooms, a fantastic breakfast and the kindest staff you could ever wish to meet. Every room has a balcony some of which overlook a magnificent garden and is a short walk to the shores of Lake Constance. We could not recommend this hotel highly enough and cannot wait to return next year..

We found this lovely hotel by chance and had a wonderful stay.
This old villa has been very tastefully furnished......traditional meets modern. Every room looks different and has it's own character.
The hosts are extremely charming and make you very welcome.
Breakfast is first class and in summer you can enjoy it in the quiet garden.
The location is great. After a short walk through a little park and along the beautiful promenade you can reach the town centre.
Off road parking is available.
We would definitely stay there again!

My mom and I recently stayed here for a few days and all of the positive reviews are true - the photos from the website are so accurate - but the place is much, much prettier in person - the staff Marc and Katherin and her mom are just the nicest kindest people - all have great English and a great love for service to their guests. They are super thoughtful and offer coffee all day (for a price - but I am not entirely sure they keep track of how many coffees they have brought you!) They are VERY helpful and welcoming. The rooms are amazing - so clean and pretty and the balcony we had was perfect, The breakfast is OUTSTANDING - everything - even warm items and special items like smoked salmon and 8 kinds of cheese for folks like me that do not want pie for some kind of pastry breakfast - if you cannot find something you like - you would have to be THE pickiest eater ever :)
When they say the hotel is close to the lake - believe it - literally across the hotel and across a little park area. So great for relaxing - the garden is right next door and is also so very lovely, We wanted for nothing and the hotel staff was so generous I cannot imagine what more we could have possibly asked for. We would definitely come here again to this lovely little town (Uberlingen is simply fantastic - although about every 5th story sells ice cream - clearly they love ice cream). The main town area is a few short blocks away - very easy to get there - and all of the people were so nice - so do not worry about not being in the center of town - also the lake boardwalk is across the street - There are no down sides here.

It's no wonder that the Hotel Villa Rosengarten gets such excellent reviews. The welcome is fantastic and they can't do enough for you. Our room was well appointed (including umbrella and rucksack!) and they even provide special pillows for people with neck/back problems. The breakfast - both in terms of range and quality - really sets you up for the day, and is served in a lovely conservatory area. The location of the hotel is also good - less than ten minutes along the lake side to the town centre. But best of all was the warmth, helpfulness and professionalism of the hosts. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Just a quick note to thank you for our lovely stay at your hotel. We have now arrived in Mellau but we were sad to leave your lovely hotel - the time went so quickly! We particularly enjoyed the breakfasts and your very friendly welcome. We will register confirmation of our lovely time on Tripadvisor when we get home. We may well be back in the future.... and will certainly recommend your hotel to any friends visiting the area

Welcomed to the hotel by the owners as into their own home, was such a relief after we arrived rather later than planned. The next morning I opened the balcony doors to the sound of birds and a view of the Bodensee across the street. Not only is the inside of the hotel beautiful and tastefully furnished but it is also located in a wonderful region. The building is part Jugendstil and part modern. The breakfast room is a high - ceilinged conservatory that leads out to the garden and the public Rose Garden next door. I loved the "African sun" wall lamp and the zebracloth suitcases serving as a side table in my room. I had a chance to see the Honeymoon Suite - it is verry romantic and cosy too. In addition to the etched glass doors in the guest lounge and the stained glass windows in the tower steps to the upper floors, Wifi, Flatscreen TV and modern plumbing made it all a perfect blend of antique and modern.

The Hotel Villa Rosengarten is an exquisitely appointed small hotel managed by its gracious owners dedicated to the comfort and enjoyment of their guests, The hotel is bordered by a magnificent municipal garden park, with a lovely garden of its own. An especially lavish and varied buffet breakfast is served in a beautiful garden room. The setting is beautiful, intimate and quiet, and less than 75 meters from the bank of beautiful Lake Constance (Bodensee) where one can promenade along the water, enjoy lakeside restaurants, take ferries to Switzerland and the world renowned Mainau island arboretum and gardens, go fishing and sailing, takes hikes to the countryside and a short ride to skiing in the Alps. Uberlingen is a very attractive old, small town Zurich is the closest airport. Train travel to Uberlingen is complicated, requiring at least two transfers, sometimes up and down stairs, quite a burden for travelers with heavy luggage. If you are travelling in a couple or larger group, consider renting a car.
