We were traveling through Germany from Iceland and found this pearl online. Lovely family that owns it, lots of stuff for kids to play outdoors. Our son loved it. The food was very good we both had dinner and a lovely breakfast. We will definitely come again, great choice for a vacation at Boden See.
It is a country side hotel for relaxation and with GPS you are good to go!!

Had a great stay here. Really friendly staff always willing to answer questions. Nice, well maintained rooms with mosquito screens fitted. Location has a nice view of surrounding mountains/hills, sadly not directly on the lake.
Broad choice of breakfast with fresh baked bread. Had excellent 4 course dinner well worth the €19,00. Sadly we chose to eat outdoors on our second say which wasn't a great success, should've gone here again. Will definitely come here again for a longer stay on Bodensee.

Great accommodation, beautiful location, Lake Constance within easy reach.
Rooms and service very good. Breakfast almost perfect. Dinner is also worthwhile.
It is best to drive there as it is a bit out of the way.
An electric charging station can be found on site.
Note: The country hotel is very popular with group trips. And depending on this, the day off for the kitchen changes.
The country hotel is very family-run, so you can feel very comfortable and are well looked after.
We would love to come back to Schellenberg.

In a last minute trip, we booked a room in Schellenberg hotel. We knew it was a rural hotel but what we did not know was that the hotel would stand alone on a hill (well, there is a house besides) far away from anything! Fortunately, our navigation system saved the day (or the night). We would not have found our way without it!
The hotel was clean but lacked character. We were expecting a real rural hotel and given its position we were disappointed to discover it was not one. We had made very positive experiences in the nearby Black Forest region. Some decoration elements showed that the owners had tried or had good intentions but somehow their project remained unfinished.
The room we were given was truly basic. The furniture was cheap and unmatched. The tiny TV was a hard-to-find-today model and one light was not working. The bathroom was small but clean. The towels, however, had reached the end of their lives.
The breakfast was correct but not exceptional. There again, a touch of country side would have created much better impressions.
On the positive side, the very warm welcome and the open smile of the owner.
We would only reccomend it to families and couples with strong interests in nature.

A very well run family hotel. Very concerned with sustainability. The food is excellent. Very pleasant, there are also suitable options for children. Well signposted hiking trails.
