The Wiestor is very traditionally styled, perhaps old-fashioned, but the room was comfortable, spacious and clean, plus it was nice to have a couple of chairs and table in the room. It’s also very close to the main part of Uberlingen and has a secure cave storage facility for bikes 5 minutes walk away. However, it is located on a fairly busy road and if roomed at the front of the hotel like we were, the noise and light are noticeable.

The big winner was the breakfast though - lots of choice and very satisfying!

Booked here on the back of other Trip Advisor reviews. Turned out to be as good as promised. Great location, with pedestrian walk to the lakeside immediately over the road from the front door.

Staff were welcoming and efficient, the room was very large and very clean, with excellent facilities. No on site parking, but a secure public car park right next door.

Although the hotel is on the main road into town, this didn't create any problems despite us having to sleep with the windows open (major heat wave at the time).

There's a strange mix of décor at this place which could be a little off putting, (neo classic meets modern with a bit of Romanesque thrown in for good measure), but the underlying qualities shine through. Strongly recommended for short stays in a lovely part of Germany

We spent two nights in this simple but very nice hotel. The room was surprisingly large and the bed excellent. Our room was on the backside of the house and extremely quiet. A very good breakfast was included in the reasonable rate. The location was convenient, close to the town center and the service was both efficient and friendly. So... not much to add: just a good address.

The Hotel Wiestor is a lovely hotel in an ideal location. It is about 150 metres from the train station and a similar distance to the lake.

We had a lovely room at the rear of the hotel away from the road. You could'nt hear a sound of any traffic noise. The room was very nice and had its own private courtyard which was surrounded by a lovely garden. The breakfast room was lovely and the breakfasts were really nice.

If we ever return to Uberlingen we wouldn't even think of looking for any other hotel. We would certainly stay at the Wiestor again.

Good "old fashioned" Hotel that makes you feel genuinely relaxed, Excellent breakfast with lovingly prepared extras. Parking is easy in nearby communal Prakhouse, exploring the region best done from nearby frequently served station via "Gruppentagesticket" ( 17 Euros for a day pass for up to 5 people) if the town and the local walking and cycling is not enough for you. Very friendly staff will advise you.

Great hotel, great location. Owner lady could not have been nicer or more accommodating for our visit. Room was large and clean. Internet worked great. I have stayed at other hotels in Uberlingen but this was the best.

We stayed in many places these past few months but this one tops them all in my estimation.
Every detail was to our delight including the staff, the decor, the food, the location and the price.
The food was served in an elegant dining room with eye appeal and stomach satisfaction well above our expectations. The location is right next door almost to the Parking Garage and is well within walking distance of the thermal baths. Since the lake is nearby access to the ships is only five minutes from the door.

The hotel is clean and the rooms are too. The beds are quite soft, too soft for my liking. The rooms are spacious, but the bathroom was slightly cramped and tight. The shower got close to overflowing after a few minutes, but clean.

No airconditioning in the room, but a fan was provided, making it ok. The sound from the main street in front can be heard quite well, so sleeping with an open or cracked window is difficult.

Breakfast was good, yet not as big as is almost standard in germany.

Was on a cycling tour around Lake Constance (german: Bodensee) and stayed here. Ueberlingen is a wonderful town, with a grand promenade along the shore, almost like a small Riviera. The hotel is quite fancy for a Garni (family run but not staffed 24 hr a day; doors lock after 8pm, so have your key ready). The included breakfast buffet is wonderful; rooms are comfortable and very tastefully decorated.
