I fell in love with Lüneburg during a summer study abroad and, on my 2nd return trip, knew the location of Das Stadthaus was perfect. Booked Hotel for three nights, stayed for one. This place has an incredible charme but is disabled with an management you can't believe. The hotelier really hates his guests and let them know he does. I never met any unpleasant person like him!

Stayed here for one night. It is a very old hotel done over. No elevator and we were booked for the top floor. Not happy with that. The staff was very accomodating in placing us on a lower floor. The rooms were clean and the beds were so-o-o-comfy.The view from the window looked out onto the main town square. Lots...

Lüneburg, a Hanse town not too well known, unscathed by the war's bombs, incredibly charming little place with a cloister of historical import and a saltmining museum. Without reservations we arrive having missed a train connection in nearby Hamburg. Yes, they have a room, and what a room.
