Good parking, good location, lots of places to eat around. We enjoyed the restaurant across, great steaks. Hameln is a beautiful town, lots of interesting buildings with history. The Altstadtwiege accommodation was up eight flights of steps, the door out to the fire escape could not be opened and the general cleanliness was poor compared with normal German standards.

Every now and again when touring you get lucky with your choice of hotel, this was one of those times. The Hotel is really clean and feels that it is almost an extension of the owners home, book to get a parking space at the back of the hotel, ideal location a cock stride to the town centre, excellent breakfast,...

It has been a nice stay over the weekend. Our room with a balcony was quiet and faced the backside of the hotel. A spacy ensuit bathroom, a good king-size bed, sofa... A rich breakfast in a friendly coloured dining-room made it altogether a very pleasent stay.

Excellent location in the heart of this charming city, but the room was tiny and on the third floor without a lift. The room was overlooking the street and the noise at night didn't help. It has no restaurant, and a full German breakfast was served on time. It did the job, but did not want me to go back.

I stayed one night only in a single room. Location is excellent. It's two streets away from the main shopping street and in the middle if old town. The service was good, staff friendly and helpful The single room I had had a huge spider web and spider in the bathroom door. Cleaning staff should have seen that. Otherwise it...

Great place to stay and in the centre of everything, very pleasant owners who spoke good English (I know we should make more of an effort to speak their language), the whole process from booking via an email, the stay & not forgetting the great breakfast served up was pleasantly easy and stressfree. I would recommend this hotel to friends...

I stayed in this hotel for a weekend with family and was delightfully surprised by the attention to detail and the effort which had gone into making this a unique experience. The mother and daughter team who ran the hotel were very friendly and spoke good english. My room was clean and comfortable, my bed was a high wooden bed...

We stayed at this hotel over 15 years ago and were really pleased when we found it again still in the same family. Our first impression of the bedroom was that it was very nice. Then we started to discover the little rats everywhere. Some were pictures or paintings but many were carved into the furniture. All the furniture was...
