I could use a thesaurus to suggest words other than, "fine," to describe the hotel, but the meaning would be the same. The location is good for exploring Hameln's old city, including its shops and restaurants (the hotel menu is uninspiring). Our suite was spacious for the three of us; and the furniture, if a bit shabby, was of pleasant...

Just a warning, if looking for Engish breakfasts, don't bother as bacon and eggs definitely to be missed. Continental breakfast excellent. No tea making facilities, although 24 hrs room service, not the same. Liked it though.

Lovely hotel and room - very spacious. Restaurant not very good for catering for children for evening meal. Well situated near centre of town. Breakfast buffet included and was delicious. Would recommend.

This is a fantastic hotel, the rooms are very clean, room service is prompt, and the food is extremely tasty. It right in the town center you just go under the bridge to cross the road and your in the town. The bar stays open quite late but you dont hear any noise at all from rooms. The best hotel...

We recently stayed here for a long weekend and had mixed experiences. We were a party of 3 couples and arrived at different times. The first party arrived late on a Thursday evening and found the chap at reception very unhelpful and unwelcoming. We arrived the following day around 12 noon and had no such issues (a different person on...

Hotel is a bit dated esp the bathrooms and communal areas. Well located for old town and is next to the river and cycle routes. Lovely breakfast. Would stay there again and am considering a cycle holiday based in that hotel. I would not consider it 4 star.

We were there for a birthday party of a friend of us and didn't want to sleep in a bed & breakfast after we saw it, so we decided to check in into Hotel Stadt Hameln. The staff was friendly, the room had enough space for two, but there are some negatives: there were no darkening curtain or shutter, so...

We had to take this hotel as kind of a last minute solution and it was okay. Everything is a bit old and has the classic last 80ies/early 90ies look. What I liked the most was the space of the room because we had a room at the and of the hall, so two windows and a lot of space....

I visited this hotel because of my interest in German history. Some atrocities had happened here, such as after WW2, when it was a British military HQ and prison. Unfortunately, the place is still as uninviting. Cold, empty, old deco, no friendly reception at all, Not even worth having a coffee. Sadly.

Situated close to the town center, this hotel is a useful base from which to explore the old town of Hameln. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms can be a little chilly in winter - this mostly seems to be because a lot of windows are left open. The heating does work...but slowly. There is no parking...
