The Levens are very friendly and helpful and Frau Leven speaks English well. The bed wasn't the most comfortable but adequate. There is a bit of street noise - church bells ringing hourly and the level crossing alert - but with the windows closed this wasn't a problem. The location is excellent and I enjoyed a great walk to the... More

We stayed here October 16 2013. Very friendly at 80euros for a double including breakfast. Clean big bedroom with ensuit warm free parking in local car park 100m. Lovely town well worth making the stop off here. Super couple running hotel and even made me omelette. Which was not on menu. Well recommended

This is the third time my husband and I have stayed in this hotel and we absolutely love it. The staff are incredibly helpful and lovely (they even did all the work in finding long lost family members and contacting them for us as our German was not so good!). The rooms are comfortable, cozy and spotless, the breakfast is... More

Stayed here with my parents and was very happy with everything. Located in a great spot with super friendly and helpful staff. The waitress could only speak a little English but tried very hard (and successfully) to explain the menu. Everyone was really sweet. The food was delightful and breakfast also good. Would recommend and stay again for sure!

This hotel is small family run. They were very helpful with questions about the local area and traveling around: tickets to Cologne, restaurants, castle etc. The rooms were clean and had good space. The breakfast was plentiful, typical german with meats, cheeses, eggs, bread, etc. You need to be able to carry your suitcases upstairs as there is no lift.... More

I found this hotel through TripAdvisor and had a most pleasant stay. The historic hotel is still run by a family who helped me a great deal with my travel arrangements. I arrived very early in the morning at Düsseldorf airport and it was no problem to check-in early and take a nap already. The room was simple but very... More

The owners are very welcoming and serve a very generous breakfast. There are plenty of beautiful hiking and biking opportunities around. Good starting position for a trip into the region. We liked it very much. It is quiet and we had a very big room.

We, a family with two small children, stayed at the Hotel Bergischer Hof end of October 2011 as we were traveling through the area. We found the website online and reserved for two nights. The staff at check-in was really kind and quick and we were happy to see that the baby bed was already set up for us in... More

My boyfreind, bestfriend and I stumbled upon this Bed and Breakfast and even though they were closed they let us in and gave us a selection of rooms to stay in. I felt right at home and the couple who owns/runs it went out of their way to accomodate us. Breakfast was great and its close to lots of castles... More
