Apparently there has been some kind of hospitality business in this main building for hundreds of years. In terms of level of service it is not hard to believe, they seem to have the experience ;) Very friendly staff, several speak at least two languages fluently. Hotel divided in two main buildings and the style of the rooms differ quite... More

We stayed here over a three day weekend, it was a very pleasant and relaxing stay. The hotel is in the town so its a couple of minutes walk to several restraurants and cafes in the town. The hotel is a mix of old and new but really nicely done. The rooms are good, large, good beds, big ensuite with... More

Just stayed at this excellent hotel Nov 2014, it's excellent in always. Good value for money and bang in the centre of Lemgo just 1 minute from the main street with the shops. 1Hr by car from Hannover airport. Food and drinks spot on and the bedrooms are 1st class with an old part with 4 poster beds and wood... More

Currently staying here 7-10 of November. The hotel has an old and a new side. Part of our group are staying in the old part which has a lot of character. Building is old and a bit creeky but this is normal. The rooms are very well taken care of. I am staying in the new building and the room... More

Set right in the old town with a few parking spaces out the back. We stayed in the old part of the hotel and had a lovely, large room with a 4 poster bed. Some of the decor in the corridors etc was a bit tired. Breakfast was OK, but only a boiled egg as a hot option. However over... More

The hotel is good, the rating is average meerly due to the rooms being a tad on the "snug" side. They are perfectly acceptable but my double room would have been very crowded if Mrs Chomsky had been with me, and she's quite petite. The staff were great, very helpful and attentive. The food was good but the breakfast was... More

Loved the traditional style with the new modern bathroom, comfortable bed and great location. Buffet breakfast was great, plenty to choose from and it was wonderful not having to get up early and hurry to the dining room before breakfast closed. The staff and managers were friendly, helpful and made us feel welcome. Rooms facing the road did get traffic... More

Stadtpalais in Lemgo is certainly spesial, aa mix of good location, family styile service, rooms with a mediaval charm but LOTS of stairs if you stay on upper floors. Maybe it is time for some update of bathrooms but you have it all there. And it works - you sleep and eat well.

Typical German Old style hotel, lot of wood finish of the interior, small stairway and wooden ceilings Room was spacious, and the bed was excelent. No free wifi internet available, the breakfast was modest but OK. Hotel could use a make over according my opinion. All in all for € 70,- incl Breakfast the price was in balance with the... More

this is a comfortable hotel but bear in mind that it is in an historic building - so don't try to carry a heavy case up the winding staircase to your room and don't expect air conditioning or modern decor. On the other hand, the place has buckets of heavy charm, the bed was comfortable and the room was quiet,... More
