The location of the hotel is a bit outside of the city of Ratingen. Exploring Ratingen from this hotel without a rental car is a challenge and cost you time for walking of the at least 3 to 4 km to the city center. A big supermarket is close by within 2-3 minutes driving. The hotel is good for business traveler who have to visit companies in the economic area of Ratingen. Furthermore it is very close to the airport of Düsseldorf. Just about 10 minutes driving.
The rooms are big enough for 2 persons with big suitcases. Clean and tidy. The bathroom has no window unfortunately, so the wet air from the shower goes through the room. The rooms offer everything you need. In case something is missing, the reception can offer you. A fridge is missing in the room.
The hotel staff is very friendly and the service is quite good. Even during breakfast the service is good. The breakfast is more or less international, even German type of breakfast is dominating. Beside sausages and scrambled eggs, they also offer cooked eggs, bagels, different type of cheese and cold cuts. Choice of yoghurt available.
The hotel offers a parking lot in the back. Not very cheap, but convenient. In the morning don’t forget to pick a coin to get out of the parking lot. You get it for free at the reception.
All in all we can say that the hotel offers a good service and breakfast including spacy and clean rooms. A car for this hotel is recommended, since there is nothing around the hotel in walking distance. The close distance to the Düsseldorf Airport makes the hotel interesting for short term travelers, for a stopover or for business traveler.

I’ve stayed here a few times in recent years as the Maritim and Sheraton at DUS offer convenience but not the VFM going off airport provides. But this will be the last occasion at PH. Reception staff were inconspicuous which in itself can be a good thing, but needing to track them down when required is not satisfactory. The most bizarre thing about this stay was the room cleaning. On 2 occasions half used soap and toiletries were taken and not replaced. And I take exception to a €2 coin being taken from the room - if I leave it when I check out it’s a tip, if it’s taken during my stay it’s, well, you know what it is. Little things, I know, but not now my go-to for DUS as the remainder of the experience doesn’t outweigh the inaccessible location.

The room was okay, there is no Minibar but everything else is available. The shower in the middle of the room is kinda strange but at least it was somehow covered... The pillows were not the best but the bed was actually good 😊 We were happy with the stat all in all. The breakfast was good too. Parking costs 12€ a day but we parked for free just 100m from the Hotel :)

Even though the hotel looks very nice and the room was spacious, we had a very bad experience with the PM-shift. While checking in the guy at the desk was very rude. We had to ask about all the information regarding breakfast, wifi and check-out. After a while we noticed the room was still very warm even though the AC was turned on. We wanted to open a window, but the room had no windows. When I asked the guy from the front desk how the AC works, he got irritated. With a big attitude he went upstairs with me, after I repeatedly said he didn't had to come up, because I didn't feel safe. He was throwing with the sign he had to place when you leave the front office. He said "I don't want to do the exercise and walk up and down". After a while we noticed the AC still wasn't working and the heater in the room was HOT, but turned off. Again we went to the front desk, and he said we had to deal with it, because there were no other rooms available. We had to sit in the corridor because the room was to hot, thinking how we could fix this our self. Another guest was on her way downstairs because she had the same issues with the AC. She went with my mother and the guy from the front desk got extremely mad and started to throw stuff and hitting the desk. He said he hates the job and didn't wanted to work there. After that I went to a very nice lady in the restaurant and she told me to wait for the nightshift. We waited in the corridor until the nightshift arrived. The guy came back saying he had another room for us. He handed the new room keys to my mother. When I asked him if the AC was working in the new room he ripped the keys out of my mothers hands and mumbled something in German. When he came back he threw the keys at my mom!! We had a terrible experience with this guy. Luckily the nightshift took care of everything. When we checked out, I explained everything to the lady at the desk. She would speak with management and send me an e-mail. I havent received anything and when I call the hotel they connect me to the reservation department where no one picks up!

I would not recommend this hotel. They could not find our reservation on arrival. Eventually we were offered 2 rooms on different floors, which meant we had to run up and down stairs. The rooms were dirty and had not been cleaned in months. Even when we asked for them be cleaned they were left as they were. One towel for a double room....really? Either German standards are dropping or management are not checking what their staff are doing. Try IBIS....its nicer and cheaper just across.

I stayed at the Precise House Hotel for 3 nights on a business trip. I can highly commend the hotel for its cleanliness, friendly staff throughout the hotel.
The rooms are spacious, clean & bright with plenty of windows. Beds are very comfortable.
Food in the restaurant is excellent with good variety of options.
Finally reception was incredibly helpful, professional & friendly at all times with all requests.
