Our 8 night stay at the Rheinhotel St Goar was one of the highlights of our recent European trip. The hotel is in a perfect location overlooking the Rhine and a short and easy walk to the train station. Gil the owner speaks excellent English and was extremely helpful with suggestions of how best to enjoy our time in the...

As others have commented, Gil is a superb host with his balance of professionalism, humor and genuine caring for the comfort of his guests. He and his staff maintain a high standard of cleanliness and attention to detail. We appreciated his introduction to the town...

Gil is the best host. He helped us plan our time wisely, use the train, make reservations for dinner and I am sure I am forgetting so much more. Our room had the best view! Breakfast was perfect and I am not easy to please when it comes to food.

Excellent location, right on the river. A great value hotel with a wonderful host, caring and knowledgeable. Our comfortable room included balcony with a lovely view of the Rhine, great for watching the boats along with a glass of wine. Buffet breakfast was included in the restaurant on the outdoor terrace. Free Wi-Fi and paid parking on site.

This was my first stop starting a 75 day trip through 15 countries. I doubt I'll ever find a better host than Gil, a truly wonderful human being. Such a great start to my trip. I had a front room overlooking the river. You can see the riverboat dock through the window, it's that close. Breakfast was wonderful, room was...

The rooms are very nice and meticulously clean and well-kept. The breakfasts are excellent in a well-lit breakfast room overlooking the Rhine. Gil will give you tons of ideas about local activities. I strongly recommend this hotel....

We got off of the boat in this quaint small town and walked directly across the street to this renovated little hotel. The pictures online do not do it justice. Upon entering the hotel we were greeted by the owner (we did not know it at first). He greeted us as better than family... checked us in and proceeded to...
