A bit used but still nice room, just - a mirror up on the ceiling above the bed looks really weird in a tourist hotel:-) A real disappointment was the breakfast of very poor choice - I would rate it 1*, definitely not a 3* hotel. Dinner: quick smooth service, average kitchen.

Stayed for 2 nights during a trip around Switzerland. This was by far the best hotel of the trip, from checking in to leaving the staff were brilliant and friendly. The male receptionist (didn't catch his name) who checked us in, even went to the trouble of finding us more info on our planned travels the next day. Room was... More

The last stop of the trip, needing to go to airport, Brig is a convenient site, and turned out to be a good choice, there are direct IC services without needing to change trains. The hotel is a bit far from the train station, needs about 10 (15 if you are slow) min walk from the train station, which could... More

Despite the name this hotel is not central, being around 15 minutes walk from the station, and has no step free access. Our room was large and spacious but smelt extremely musty when we went in as if it had not been aired for a while. The staff, however, were friendly and helpful (and actually advised us to leave the... More

The price was excellent for this hotel, which was why we booked here. The room was very dated, but I don't really care about the decor in a room in which I am just going to sleep. When I saw the location, surrounded by apartments, I thought I would have trouble sleeping, but I had two fabulous nights of sleep.... More

I dont generally like to part with lots of money for a room one simply SLEEPS in. Brigg defies my best intentions. because of its location it can command high prices. hotel central was one of the least expensive options and we booked our first night there through Booking.com. We arrived late due to a train snafu and Phillip, at... More

We stayed in this hotel for two nights whilst visiting the area for our honeymoon. Brig is a perfect base in order to visit the surrounding mountain villages, with excellent transport links. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the railway station and has free parking if you are driving. We hired a car and took full advantage of... More

Hotel Central aka Hotel Steakhouse Central was one of the hotels we remembered very fondly. They went out of the way to help us in so many areas: - did us a really nice favour knowing it's our honeymoon - helped us find the schedule for the different trains we were taking - got their restaurant's kitchen to warm up... We hadn't booked anywhere and were searching for a reasonably priced hotel that offered parking. Hotel Central was exactly that, easy to locate, priced okay with breakfast and wifi included. It is a standard 3star hotel but was very clean and although the staff spoke no English, we felt comfortable and attended to throughout our stay.

We arrived in Brig late in the afternoon and were looking for a place to stay the night and found the Hotel Central on Tripadvisor. We spent 1 night there on our way to Leysin. “Hmmmm ... think it was the third floor, overlooking the street to the front and the street between the hotel and its additional suite of rooms. It was quiet and pleasantly light in this grey period of October.”
