This is a very well located, comfortable family owned hotel - the staff are very friendly, but the problem is, that the reception is only manned for a limited time everyday. Therefore, guests arriving had to book themselves in on a computerized key pad system next to the front entrance - easy enough if you are computer literate, but will... More

It was a good choose to stay in the Schlosshotel with friends of ours for three nights. From here we visited Zermatt-Gornergrat and Betten-Bettmerhorn-Aletsch. The service was OK. A very friendly staff. The reception was not manned 24 h a day. The rooms are cosy and clean. The facilities to heat water are available but without coffee and tea. The... More

This hotel is below average as far as amenities and service. We could not get a regular sheet for our bed to substitute for the very heavy and hot comforter because when we called to ask the person at the reception desk said she had already gone home and she would get us one "tomorrow." which she did not. Also... More

Staff is only available twice a day at the reception desk. From 7am to 11am; and 5pm to 7pm is the only hours the reception desk has staff.. If you need assistance any other time , you are on your own. The radio that is part of the TV was supposed to have an alarm clock; but the one in... More

We had a great view of the Stockalper Castle from our room. The hotel is situated right next to the castle grounds, and we usually passed through the grounds on our way into town. Brig is a small town of about 12,000. Breakfast here was excellent. As at other hotels we stayed at in Switzerland, I particularly enjoyed the selection... More

The front desk has only a couple of hours a day that it is open. Good luck if you want to talk to the front desk. The rooms are very tiny. With my suitcase open it was impossible to walk inside the room. The toilet area was also very small. The hotel did not have a dining room. Guests were... More

Stayed here just for a night on the way further into Switzerland, was perfect to suit our purpose. Not a luxury hotel by any means, simple and affordable for the area. Great views of the castle, one of Brig's bigger draws. About a 10 minute walk from the train station. If you want something closer, this may not be the... More

Price is reasonable. Room was large. Nice view of Schloss Stockalper and garden. Complementary breakfast was good. The only issue we had was the Wifi. We barely could get a signal in our room, anywhere on our floor or in the common areas. There was significant traffic noise if you tried to sleep with the windows open.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for one night passing through the town. Our room had no doors on either the toilet nor the shower "room". As the photos show there was only a curtain on the area with the toilet. I personally feel the rooms could benefit from proper doors on both these areas. Also, the breakfast... More

Hotel is next to Stockapler Schloss. Our room had a good view of the garden. The room was large with plenty of windows and a large closet (wardrobe). Telephone and hairdryer are provided. Room had some traffic noise but mostly it was quiet. Bathroom has shower, no tub. Towels were provided for two people but only one washcloth. Shower grout... More
