Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very central location, own tea and coffee facilities. We chose a room with a cooking hob too in order to keep costs down. All very expensive in Switzerland. Hotel is 2 mins from the Lake Front and near many restaurants. Slept very well every night. They stored our bikes safely and were very helpful generally.

To be honest, I don't like to stay in Swiss Hotels but the week-end trip to Morges and the stay in the Hotel de la Nouvelle Couronne have been a bright spot. Sure, the hotel isn't new and the smell in the rooms is a bit stale. Yet, it is very clean, you've got everything you need, the furniture is elegant and harmonized, the bathroom is small but recently refurbished. The staff is helpful and nice. Only cloud was the breakfast buffet on Sunday which could have been a bit richer and above all the staff wasn't apparently prepared for the rush so that a nine o'clock there was no more "Birchermuesli" ... the demand for everything has overtaken the supply. On balance, it's a good choice, nicely located in the middle of the town only two minutes walk to the lake.

This was my second time staying at this hotel. It is situated in the centre of Morges just a few minutes walk from the lake and the marina. The staff are very helpful and most speak excellent English. The continental breakfast was plentiful and varied. Reception is not open 24 hours but you have a key for the main door so can come and go as you please. There is no parking at the hotel, but you can get a voucher from reception to park at the main car park close by for free overnight. You need to pay during the day and the meters only take coins. Our room on the 3rd floor overlooked the pedestrian street where there was a local market on the Saturday morning. It was a good size, clean and had a fridge and a safe. The only downside for me were the tea & coffee making

I have been in Morges many times and I have been in 4 hotes. This one is the best one comparing price room and services. There is ONLY want remark, and this one is the poor breakfast quality. It is really a pity they do not improve that part. I recomended as a good place to stay. There is not restaurant to have dinner but there is a good Italian restaurant 2 minutes walking from the hotel

I have stayed at this hotel 4 times in the last 6 months for work purposes. Although its not much it has everything you need. The rooms are clean and equipped with comfortable beds, tea and coffee, ample cupboard space, desk and fridge. a varied cold buffet breakfast. Location is perfect as it is 5 minutes from the train station. Several restaurants all within a 10 minute walking distance. The young and diverse staff make the hotel for me. First time I have visited a hotel in Switzerland and a receptionist speaks English as their mother tongue! Being Scottish, and the strong accents we have it is nice to be able to converse with no difficulties. My colleagues also had the pleasure of speaking their mother tongues of Spanish and Italian respectively. Excellent service!

This hotel dating from 1574 is a bit worn in certain places (carpeting), but has everything you need and more for a short stop in Morges, a quaint little Swiss town on lake Geneva. Don't go in summer from what I have read as there is no AC and limited ventilation because it is in the old town center. However, my spacious room was fully equipped with kettle for tea & coffee, hair dryer, fridge, safety deposit box, clothing rack & closet, luggage rack, TV with 200 channels on a real desk and a comfy bed with plenty of pillows. Breakfast was quite good with hard-boiled eggs, different types of cheese & bread, croissants, fruit salad, etc. The hotel is only a five-minute walk from the train station, the lake and a paying public parking lot where it is free from 5pm to 10am. I would

Comfortable, clean and friendly hotel, the room allocated fronting on to the main pedestrian street in the town of Morges on the banks of Lake Geneva. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was large and comfortable. The hotel it's a 5 minute walk to the railway and bus station in one direction and 2 minutes walk to the harbour and Morges Castle. Fantastic views of Lake Geneva and the Alps in the distance. The town is very clean with many bars and brasseries to spend a relaxing meal.

Old rooms with limited comfort. 2nd visit where i get a room under the roof. More than 30 degrees without A/C... Unbearable. Friendly employees but not very professional. No catering except breakfast. Much better options available at similar prices!

Dear Madam, Sir, Many thanks for having taken the time to post your comment on Internet. We mostly appreciate it. Hôtel de la Nouvelle Couronne’s historic bulding was initially built in the 16th century to be enlarged in the 19th century. Its architecture is quite complex and our room are therefore not all the same. For your next stay, do not hesitate to contact me so that your room fits your specific needs. To get a particularly quiet or fresh room for your next reservation, I suggest you contact me directly or our reception desk. Hoping to have the pleasure of welcoming you soon again in hotel de la Nouvelle Couronne and with my best regards. Eric Decombas Manager

Easy to find from the main railway station. Just follow the road from the station straight down to the centre of town and you will find the hotel down the little passage off the main street. Receptionists are friendly and helpful. Always nice to get a good welcome when you arrive and an inquiry next morning as to how one enjoyed the hotel. My room (201) overlooked the main street but it was very quiet at night. I wasn't disturbed at all by street noise. The room itself was large and well laid out. As another reviewer has commented it is more 'old Switzerland' than corporate. And that is nice to see. Quite a charming room in fact. The bed was kingsize and there is a tea and coffee tray provided. Hairdryer also and plenty of wardrobe space. Desk and chair for any work one has to

I was here a one-night stay in Morges on business. The reception staff were really pleasant, the rooms well fitted out and overall I had a very pleasant stay at a reasonable price. The hotel doesn't have a bland corporate feel - it has quite a bit of character and a definite Swiss feel to it which was a refereshing change. Within a few minutes walk there are several good restaurants offering a range of cuisines and Morges is a charming little town in a very picturesque spot on the banks of the lake.
