A century ago, the composer Igor Stravinsky chose Morges as the ideal location for both calm and climate; it is here that he composed his most remarkable works. Today, you can be just as inspired, enjoying the house he lived in with its lush gardens overlooking Lake Geneva and the Alps. Entirely converted into an 8-room hotel in 2012, La Maison d’Igor has been fully refurbished with modern amenities to meet the needs of today’s exigent client while still preserving the beauty of things past, such as the original woodwork, sculptures, stucco, fireplace and fountain that have all been lovingly restored to their former glory.

I found this hotel without paying a lot of attention as I was travelling alone for business and had to stop only for one night.
The house is ancient and lovely restaured with taste and surrounded by a very nice garden ; outside they build two small" suites" and they gave me one: very nice simple decoration, espacially the bathroom very modern : excellent quality of the beds and sheets .
in the morning, lovely breakfast but you see that the staff is not yet totally used to the customers as its a new " guesthouse" ;
a little tip ; when the customer has to cut his bread himself, place a napkin on the bread so that the rest of the bread stay untouched, its more hygienic...
but very nice stay in a lovely tastefull house.

Our family, from around the world, have just returned from a four day visit to Lausanne for the Triathlon world championships. We decided to stay in Morges as it was better value and quieter than Lausanne, the train connections are so quick and frequent that travel was not a problem. The little hotel was a wonderful find. The staff were all lovely and helpful even finding a lockable room for my son to keep his very precious triathlon bike in. The rooms were all different with a mixture of decor - our huge, black and white bathroom had an artificial, life sized zebra head on the wall! The beds and pillows were very comfortable.
Breakfast consisted of croissants, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, cold meat, cheese and home grown tomatoes. There is a lovely terrace outside to eat, if the weather is clement.
There is a small Italian Restaurant at the hotel (it is run separately to the hotel by a delightful Italian young man) which is fairly good but not cheap (nothing is in Switzerland).
Overall, we had a memorable stay and thoroughly enjoyed the Swiss hospitality.

Many years back we have lived in Morges. We came back to say hello! La Maison d’Igor found our attraction. We did not know the place before. Wonderful rooms, very delicious food, nice but expensive wines. A great stay!
Only thing... if you are not first at the breakfast buffet, you might not find a refill of everything and you have to live with what js left. That should not happen one hour prior closing the buffet.

This hotel is a real treasure! We're coming back every year since 2015. Visiting the british car meeting in Morges, you have lot's of options to book 'just a hotel', This one is not a bargain, but it's very much worth the price. Reception and employees are super friendly, the rooms are just stunning. So much attention to details, some rooms have a terrace, bathrooms are huge and showers work as you would expect. Everything is very clean, very stylish but not 'over-designed'. Walking distance (5 minutes) to the city center, 2 minutes to the lake, free secure parking on site. Free WiFi could be a bit faster, but that's complaining on a very high level ;-) We always have the windows open during the night, and in our opinion the streets in front and back of the house are not really a problem. We had two wonderful quiet nights this weekend.
And please try dinner at the restaurant (opens at 7 p.m.), it's delicious with an outstanding service.
We'll be back in 2018, thanks for having us as your guests!

Stayed here for two night. Very convenient. Walking distance to town and the train station. Very clean and the breakfast is very good. Service was great. We stayed in room number 6 on the top floor. Very spacious but with low ceilings. The shower and the toilet is an island in the middle of the room.

Although 30 minutes by car or train from Geneva, Morges, and especially La Maison d'Igor, is a lovely and lower-cost alternative for staying in this part of Switzerland. This villa has been redesigned with sensitivity and style, the service is excellent, the breakfast perfect.

What a privilege to overnight and stay in such a place, so nicely and professionally remodeled. Very quiet and at walking distance of the river of the Leman lake. Huge bedrooms and bathrooms.
Morover, delicious breakfast and restaurant with good suggestions.

We stayed over the weekend in Morges and had a lovely surprise with this beautiful B&B. completely renovated, large rooms ( stayed at room 1), nice bathroom, lovely breakfast area and big garden. Should be even better during the summer.

I travel on business to Morge and decided to give La Maison d'Igor a try, rather than my usual choice in town.
First impressions were great, friendly welcome, tastefully renovated, nicely furnished rooms, nice touches abound with comfortable bed and quality linen etc.
I was in room 4 on the second floor, nice views over the garden/road to the lake and beyond.
As it was -3 outside I was glad to feel the very efficient heating in the room, I had to turn it down a little, although not a concern on this trip I would be wary in a hot summer as I didn't see evidence of Air-Con (More later)

My experience continued in a posetive manner with the service, and although they don't serve dinner on a Monday I had a lovely meal locally at La Briocola in town, not on Trip Advisor yet, but worth a visit (On the corner of rue de la Charpentiers and Rue de La Gare)
Breakfast was a really good quality continental, with fresh breads, Croisants, Juices, assorted meats & cheeses, meusili if you wished etc-and really good coffee!

So back to the Air-con comment; why is that relevant?(and potentially the only downside to this hotel) well, on a previous summer trip to Morges in another hotel I had a most uncomfortable night with over 27deg heat & no Air-Con, so open the windows you suggest and let a cooling night breeze waft through?
Correct! however even with the windows well and truly shut, the noise of the trains crossing a elevated bridge circa 100m from the hotel throughout the night was, at best "present" and if I were being uncharitable disturbing to sleep, perhaps a ground floor room rather than top would be a better choice.

I look forward to going back but I will request a room on the ground floor and to the west side if possible
