As soon as we entered the Capra we were greeted with friendliness and service including a personal greeting from the hotel Manager who offered us a welcome drink in the cosy comfortable lounge. This was our first experience of things to come. The friendliness and service from the staff and the manager was consistent throughout our stay and genuine. The hotel is spotless , contemporary yet traditional with its wood floors, roaring fire and tweed cushions. Yet the spa , the bathrooms, the toiletries, glasses and finishing touches are what you would expect from a clean finished contemporary hotel. We are very picky about the finishing touches, service, neat edges, nice glasses, cosiness, clean spas. The Capra achieves this. They also have their own ski locker just down in the village . We popped into Intersport along from the Capra, who were excellent, chose our skis and boots, etc and then they and the Capra simply dealt with delivery of the equipment to and from the hotel locker. Everything was seamless and genuine. The resort itself is very Swiss and quaint. It is more for beginner and intermediate skiers and its not terribly lively but some scope for an apres ski drink and restaurants to chose from. However apart from an apes ski drink we just wanted to luxuriate in the Capra. It is like another world within the resort and the food and drink and ambience is excellent. We cannot wait to return.

We can absolutely recommend this property for anyone looking for a nice cosy home in the mountains.

The hotel looks like a modern chalet from outside, however inside everything is nicely decorated worthy of a 5* hotel. Nothing too pretentious, but sort of understated luxury.

The boutique nature of the hotel ensures that there are very few guests at any time and you receive the full personal attention of the staff. The staff are very friendly and helpful. If you need something, just ask. I had my dress ironed in 30 mins :)

We went there during Covid times, so the hotel was even emptier than usual. However, all the services like spa, restaurant, etc. were functioning (with some limitations). The choice at dinner was a bit limited, however they tried to make up for it with a varied daily menu. If you get a chance, please also try the Chef's table. We had an opportunity to try it and the Chef was kind enough to prepare a 6-course Veg. menu for us at short notice. All the dishes were very nice and a couple of them were also very innovative. And, you get to enjoy all that with some excellent Valais wines.

Location wise, the view from is amazing from the suite room windows (thanks again for the upgrade!). The ski-lifts are within walking distance and they also have a regular shuttle to the ski-lifts.

Overall, they have everything that you can think of to enjoy a perfect holiday among the snowy peaks.

We just completed our 4th stay at The Capra and love it so much we will be going back again in March for our 5th stay! As many others have commented, the staff at the Capra is amazing and so welcoming. We arrived in Saas Fee at 9:30 on a Monday morning and were very surprised to find our room was already ready for us with a gorgeous little cake and bottle of wine to welcome us. Of course this was delightful surprise but one of the reasons we like the Capra is that they are well organized to pick us up at the parking, drop off our bags and take us directly to the their ski cabin so we can be up on the slopes within 45 minutes of arriving to Saas Fee.

Florian, the GM, welcomes us as if we are old friends and always makes sure to speak with us personally. We were lucky enough to meet the owners during this past stay. Talking with them, it is clear that this hotel is a true passion project and that they genuinely care about the comfort of their guests. They have created a beautiful boutique hotel that makes one feel as if you are staying in someone's private chalet.

I think it is very telling that one of the members of the staff told us that The Capra is his favourite place he has ever worked because of how well they are treated by the GM and the owners. I like staying at a hotel were the staff are treated well and looked after.

The rooms are well appointed and very clean. We have stqyed in both the Signature Junior Suite and Signature Suite and enjoyed the excellent quality and organization of the rooms. I appreciate that there is well organized storage space and plenty of hangers. The bathrooms are beautiful and I am all in favour of the installation of refill soap, shampoo and lotion bottles in place of small individual toiletries.

The spa is beautiful and is the perfect place to relax after a day on the slopes. This stay, we were gifted a 90 minute session in the hotels 'private spa' room and I can't even begin to describe what a treat this was. It is a stunning space with a large dipping pool, steam room and sauna. We were greeted with two glasses of champagne and a few tasty nibbles. It was a luxurious highlight to our trip!

Thank you again to Florian and all the staff for your excellent service and happy smiles. We look forward to returning. Dejah and David

This was my 3rd visit to Capra and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The hotel staff recognized me as a returning guest and made us feel very special. They were amazing as always, smiling and genuinely trying to ensure we had a great stay. They were extremely helpful with arranging ski passes, ski rental and pick and drop to the Capra ski lockers room. The recommended activities timetable was very useful. It was great to see some new networking events being introduced at the hotel such as "Capra's Cocktail Get To Know Us" and "Chef's Table". The room had an incredible view of the mountains this time around as well. The SPA is simply amazing. Being able to relax in the outdoors hot pool after a long day of skiing made the stay so special.

With high expectations of a stay at The Capra we were disappointed in almost every aspect of this hotel. To begin with our suite was facing a parking lot . In a car free resort we did not expect to see nothing but cars . I could see that the hotel was trying but failed in their efforts - things that should be common place in a 5 star hotel .
The one steam sauna did not work for our entire stay , their blow dryer was impossibly heavy , scratchy pillows in the room , warm drinks in the mini bar , ill functioning thermostat in room. All small things added up to a hotel not worthy of their 5 star rating
We had just come from a week in Zermatt at a 4 star hotel that was superior in every way .

In addition , we were there in March 2020 when northern Italy was on lockdown . We left a couple days early since we had to get all the way back to our home in a Hawaii . They were not accommodating in any way . As it was we left early , paying for 3 nights that we did not stay. In those crazy and uncertain times we expected some flexibility with their room charge policy but there was none .
Let this be a warning to people looking for a luxury hotel - The Capra will disappoint

Dear Diane E, We thank you for taking the time to share your experience in our hotel. With regret we have taken note that unfortunately we were not able to meet your expectations during your 2-night stay this spring. We understand that the Covid crisis has been very challenging for everybody and we have done our utmost to accommodate our guests' needs in total compliance with all constantly changing restrictions valid in Switzerland. Luckily Switzerland has been one of the countries that was able to contain the epidemic successfully avoiding lock downs and hotel closures. After your decision to leave early, we have immediately agreed to trying to resell your room in order to avoid any late cancellation fees. This has been successful for one out of 3 nights and therefore that night had not been charged to your invoice upon departure. Please note that your travel insurances will cover costs involved with early departures such as yours. We hope that you and your loved ones are healthy & safe and it would be our pleasure to welcome you back on another occasion. Sunny greetings from Saas-Fee, The Capra Team

We stayed here for a valentines weekend in February and highly recommend it as a romantic get away.

As no vehicles are allowed in Saas-Fee, upon arrival at the main carpark at the village, we contacted the hotel and were then picked up by the hotel's electric shuttle. On arrival at the hotel we were warmly greeted by the staff before enjoying a complimentary drink in the lounge whklst our bags were taken to the room.

Our room was a modern, spacious and clean signature suite with plenty of room to relax.

The breakfast menu is very good with lots of options. Dinner in the restaurant was very nice with a good menu and wine list and friendly staff.

We also booked the private spa, which was a real treat.

We loved our stay and would definitely stay there again. Highly recommended!

We came largely thanks to the great reviews but the hotel exceeded our high expectations. Spotlessly clean and furnished with high quality subtle materials, the hotel feels like your own dream chalet where you come and sit by the fire in the living room, enjoy the snowy views while having breakfast or soak in jacuzzi after day of skiing. Service was probably the best we’ve encountered in Switzerland - and this includes very nice hotels like Dolder Grand, Kulm or Giardino. Kudos to the management for training such extraordinary staff and thanks to everyone in Capra for your hospitality and eager but professional touch. Add the facilities, great made-to-order breakfast, superb dinner and Capra is a winning combo. We will be back !

The most beautiful boutique hotel you could dream of. The interior design has been well thought out and everywhere you look there is something that makes this place feel like you're staying in your dream Luxe chalet. The service however is what sets this place apart from the rest. We have never felt so comfortable, so welcomed and looked after. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Jon is the star of the show and is the most accommodating Food and Beverage Manage ever, from wine and food recommendations, to restaurant reservations and just generally our go to for anything we needed . The Capra is very lucky to have him and as a guest we were very lucky to have him look after us so well. He even arranged the most amazing table at their other restaurant on mountain, it was amazing. Thank you so much Jon. Thanks you to all the beautiful restaurant team members. Jack our Capra driver would always great us with his warm humour and wherever we needed to go he made it happen, Thanks Jack and the other drivers. The rooms were spotlessly clean and well designed. Request a bath if you like one, we did and it was perfect. The signature rooms are small if staying a week like we did but that was ok. The wellness would have to be one of the best wellness centres we have ever been to (and we have been to a few) and again the wellness staff lovely. The outside pool under the stars and a glimpse of the snowy mountains in the background is beautiful (I also loved the foot spa, great after skiing). If I'm being honest, the only thing I could fault was that the fun lab was not open when we were there (we had 4 teenagers) so would have been good, the outside pool was only opened the last couple of days we were there, the locker room and gym was not ready, they were still putting out furniture during the last days of our stay and they were just starting to put up Christmas decorations up at the end of December. We booked about 8 months ago and coming from Australia we really had expectations that these were a given. Saying all of that if you go there now, I'm sure it's ready. Overall an amazing hotel, we loved every minute. Thank you Capra.

What can I say? When we arrived, the reception left us waiting in the cold concrete car park outside Saas Fee for 40 mins. They had given the wrong coordinates to the driver who comes to pick you up, and thus we were left in the cold.

The best member of staff was Carlos, who was very kind, efficient and thoughtful and tried his best to make sure we got off okay and that our last impression of the Capra wasn't crash-and-burn.

The hotel itself is pleasant inside, and the staff were welcoming. They also were helpful in collecting our gear for skiing. However, they were more than a bit chaotic the next day, and slightly short with guests. They also didn't seem to know where things were and misdirected us to the ski room, etc. The layout is a bit confusing, but you do get used to it.

We booked a taxi transfer and were, admittedly, a bit late out of the hotel, but we would not have been able to leave anyway because the electric buggy taking us to the car park broke down. We were then rudely told that we were 50 mins late and were hit up for 45 francs for the transfer by the receptionist. (Almost a franc a minute, go figure.) When we pointed out that the electric car transferring us out had broken down, and that this was not our fault, the receptionist just kept repeating that we were late. Not really what one expects from a "5 Star" hotel, but Carlos was at least trying to solve problems.

The Capra is an amazing boutique hotel in the beautiful village of Saas Fee. We have been coming to Saas Fee for over 10 years and have stayed in numerous hotels but the Capra is by far the best.
Beautifully decorated providing a relaxing homely environment with excellent well thought out facilities, from the welcoming bar lounge area to the luxurious spa and outside heated pool and importantly the fun lab to keep the children (and adults) happy.
I simply cannot fault this place, from the moment we arrived at the hotel we were made to feel so welcome by the amazing staff.
I could write a full paper on the hotel itself and the facilities but the people who work there really made the difference. Nothing was too much trouble and there was always someone there to provide support (much needed on a ski holiday), from the guys who worked in the ski locker room, the lovely and amazingly helpful drivers who chauffeured us back and forth through the village, our ‘friends’ in the lounge and restaurants there are no words to describe, just an excellent example of 5* plus service.

I would also like to call out the exceptional response to our daughters coeliac disease and the particular requirements for gluten free food. Holidays are always daunting when travelling with a 6 year old with coeliac, they can be really stressful and the availability of GF food and people who understand the importance of ensuring complete GF meals will make or break a holiday.
The amazing staff at the hotel took all this stress away, they understood our concerns and went over and above making Matilda feel like royalty from the moment she arrived. She had a huge range of GF meals and additional treats including a special Valentines chocolate cake!
I cannot thank the Capra team enough, you are all amazing.
❤️
