Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Outstanding hotel with a phenomenal restaurant! The rooms were a great size and even had two balconies! The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. The facility is newly renovated with a great spa and the lobby is very chic and inviting. The hotel is in a great location - very walkable from the central gondola. If y’all are carrying your ski gear there is a free public bus 1 block from the hotel that runs every 5 mins! The best part about our stay was the outstanding (and free with the stay) breakfast. We especially appreciated our waitress Agnes who really made our stay memorable with her exceptional service.

Hotel's Favourite
I enjoyed a really comfortable stay at the Hotel de Verbier. The room was stylish rustic/modern with all the amenities one could wish for. Public areas were similarly beautifully furnished with interesting books scattered around. Staff were uniformly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice of hot and cold dishes. I would certainly consider staying at the Hotel de Verbier again.

We had a wonderful stay. Everything was perfection. The hotel itself is such high quality construction and furnishings and the location was perfect for getting to the slopes and restaurants. The staff made all the difference in our vacation. Julietta and Linnea and Paulo were so fantastic and helpful prior to our stay and every day during our 7 day stay. I cannot rave enough about these woman. The breakfasts were amazing each day as was the staff. We returned to a spotless room each evening. We will be back!!

As a historical fiction fan, one of the things I love about Anna Mazzola’s books is that I always learn something through her fictionalisation of real events. ‘The Book of Secrets’ takes us back to 17th century Rome shortly after the devastating plague that still haunts the citizens. However, men are still dying in mysterious circumstances. Are their deaths related to the plague, or something else? Is the rumour that the bodies do not immediately decay true? Enter Stefano Bracchi, the junior magistrate charged with solving the mystery. He has been asked to use discretion so as not to panic the citizens to the possibility of another epidemic; and he is forbidden from involving the nobility in his investigations. Bracchi, with his colleague Dottor Marcello, are led to a number of women whose husbands have died after a short illness showing the same absence of decay. The investigation becomes an inquisition. We meet Girolama and her assistants, who provide aid to women in need with the use of herbs, potions and other means. And we meet Anna, one of the women who desperately needs their help. Mazzola does not shy away from the shocking treatment and violence against women and their lack of agency. Nor does she protect the reader from the terrifying treatment of these women during Bracchi’s investigation. Poignant and beautifully written, ’House of Secrets’ highlights the strength and sisterhood of women in the face of adversity. I love all Mazzola’s books, but this has become my favourite.

Amazing hotel in a central location. Understated luxurious decor, superb service from the front desk, to the restaurant to the rooms. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Boot room secure and with capacity for helmets and gloves as well as skis and boots. Spa lovely with adjoining gym. So relaxing. Honestly, we could not have had a better stay.

We had a wonderful time staying at the hotel. The location was perfect, the staff were friendly, and the mountain concierge was especially helpful in getting us ski and snow shoeing and restaurant reservations. Our only issue was with temperature control in the bedroom, and the bed comfort. The bed was very uncomfortable, and we did not have the ability to control room temperature. Most nights it was so hot in the room that we had to leave the balcony door open, which caused us to wake up multiple times from street noise. Otherwise we LOVED our stay and would gladly come back.

Great location in the middle of town and short walk to the Medran chair lift. Friendly professional staff and beautifully presented well appointed rooms. Breakfast is in a restaurant next door equally as good as it the bar for drinks after a day on the slopes.

This delightful hotel is a few hundred meters down from the cable car, but above most of the old part of town -- which means it's in a delightful location. Every need is attended to, and all the furnishings are of high quality. This is a really nice hotel in a ski town (or mountain town in the summer). If I'm in the area again, I will stay here. It was great!
