The bedroom (Riber Wing!) is excellent. Every comfort catered for, plus refreshments, including homemade biscuits and tasty homemade Bakewell pudding slice and tea on arrival. The breakfast choices were superb and delicious. Lovely house in village setting. Wonderful! Thank you Teanie and Richard. I will return!

This is the best B & B that we have stayed in. The accommodation, breakfast, ambience and comfort could not be beaten. Richard and Teanie were always on hand to give advice on places to visit. We really cannot recommend it highly enough. You wouldn't be disappointed.

. . . plus ornamental porcelain, family photos, plush bedroom drapes and cottage garden - provide a typical english but pretty ambience. On arrival be prepared for a friendly but lengthy description of entry/exit formalities and homemade breakfast ingredients. (Menu choice forms to be completed the previous night). There are 3 double rooms and guests share the same mahogany breakfast... More

The access to the property is (not surprisingly) through a tall Yew tree arch in a Yew Tree hedge which leads on to a narrow drive and parking spot in front of the cottage. My wife and I were staying with my daughter and son-in-law to attend a friend's wedding in the area. Our greeting from our host Teanie was... More

Teanie is an excellent host and also a very good cook. Her house is in the centre of Tansley and well located for Matlock and the surrounding area. The house is full of beautiful artefacts and lovely furniture but still retains a homely comfortable feel. Linen of highest quality. Comfortable bed and quality power shower. Parking, varied breakfast choices beautifully... More

Upon picking up the phone to advise we were going to arrive far beyond check in time, we were welcomed by Teany who not only told us it wouldn’t be a problem, but also gave perfect instructions so that we drove straight to the B&B. Excellent breakfast with local and homemade produce. We stayed in the Riber Wing set up as a twin and enjoyed the advantage of having the additional sitting room area. Comfortable rooms,... More
