We had a very nice stay here at the hotel. The meal at the restaurant and the breakfast were excellent. Highly recommended. Only minor downside was that casting to the TV in the room was impossible for us. Staff were very helpful and contacted the company, but we sadly never got it to work.

The hotel is a super nice castle very authentic and modern. The rooms are nice and clean. The Spa is quiet and clean very well equipped, just perfect to relax and chill out. The bar in the basement has a super nice decoration looks quite authentic like in the past. The bar tender is very nice and the signature cocktails super tasty and original.

This is a review of the food/service at the restaurant (more precisely the 'library' where they serve lunch). Where to start. We were seated and waited for 10minutes to get a menu, which I eventually picked up from the bar myself. The service is slow and staff not very attentive. Food is very far from 5star hotel experience. My wife ordered a beef tagliatelle but when it arrived, the beef was almost completely raw. We decided to leave it (my wife is pregnant but even I did not dare to try it) and told the staff that it is too raw but were charged for it anyway. The cold food platter was decent but olives not the freshest (definitely not worth 30eur). What annoyed us most however was how we were left sitting for 20 minutes after we got the desert menu with no staf coming back to take the order. The manager passed by few times serving others and ignoring us completely (it was not a rush hour and not that busy) so I just went to the bar, paid and we left. No goodbye from staff either (perhaps they were annoyed, we complained about the beef). The worst ca 130 EUR spent ever. No need to say, we will not be coming back.…

I was expecting a “wow” effect as per the pictures and the price but it looked different in real. The food in the restaurant wasn’t a taste to remember, more like food in every brasserie, the breakfast wasn’t great either. It looked like a cantinne. It’s a nice location in a calm but I think there are lot of things to review, like spa charges. When you pay 240€ per night in a 4 star you should get the spa feee of charge for guests.

We will share with the kitchen chef and team your remarks regarding your experience, due to the gastronomy in our Castle should be "a must" and we are sorry about that. The new menu for December is in progress and your message can help us to avoid the next restaurant menu can let to you such feeling. Regarding the breakfast, buffet this is usually one of the most appreciated services, due to the variety and some homemade & local products such as apple juice, Cakes/pancakes, Castle made honey (and more). But we do respect your remark. NUXE Spa facilities. Please note that the Spa is complimentary for all our guests with treatment and massages reserved ehad and included in 3 over 4 packages sold in Chateau d’Urspelt. But online booking agencies are selling only Bed & Breakfast. All our arrangements and packages are available on our website chateau-urspelt.lu. We had a wonderfull weekend at the hotel. The castle has a beautiful location, close to the beautiful golfcourse of Clervaux and the castle of Vianden. The hotel has all the luxery of a 5* hotel. A very beautiful welness and treatments of NUXE!! The restaurant has a refine cuisine. The breakfast was also very extensive. We go back to play golf and to stay in this marvelous hotel.
