4* hotel in Chexbres, good location to visit the wineries in Lavaux and great view.
Staff was friendly but nothing exceptional
We’ve requested a twin room and reminded this to reception to find out once in the room that they prepared a double room.
Also there is no ventilation system in neither the bedroom or the bathroom and we had hard time to sleep as it was extremely warm on our room.
Some equipments were old and dated for a 4 star hotel.
Also another odd thing was that there were no plugs in the bathroom (except one for a razor which did not work).
I think the management should pay more attention to cure the details of this hotel, it’s a shame given the optimal location and the great view - however this is not enough to make up for the overall experience. Lavaux is full of location with a great view and I don’t think I will come back to this hotel.

Location is everything - the view was stunning and we were just a short drive away from family at Christmas. Since it was Christmas, I wasn't expecting the room to be made up every day but it was which meant we had a clean room to come back to every day which was very nice. The pillows were thin, so we needed more. The room was hot but we were able to open the door and windows for fresh air. Since we booked a suite, I was expecting a full set of toiletries but we didn't have any hair conditioner or body lotion provided. Breakfast was adequate.

Great views from all over the place over the lake and mountains. Friendly staff.
Good choice at breakfast. Dinner was excellent. We had the alpine salmon & the chefs ravioli. Good service.
Reception gave us a tourist card for discounts on several attractions. Parking free & in front of the entrance.
The rooms are partly in need of refurbishment but for the price thats what we expected. Its difficult to sleep with open windows as they close from the wind. We placed a shoe like that it worked out.
The floor in both rooms had gaps.. why does the hotel accept this. The floors dont look to old. Windows are old. We had some smashed moskitos on the sealing. Was difficult to shower without making the hair wet as there is always coming some water out of the rainbow shower even when using the hand shower head.
The kids loved to watch the animals in the parc.
Overall a good experience.

We stayed one night in a room facing the lake. The view was beautiful. The staff were professional, polite and helpful. We had a special Greek dinner and it was delicious. Slept well, quiet and bed was comfortable (maybe some extra pillows would make it perfect). Everywhere was spotless clean and hand disinfectant was provided at reception and restaurant. Breakfast was bread, croissants, cold meats, boiled eggs, cereal, cheeses, yogurt, jams honey etc. was sufficient for us. We enjoyed our stay the view was beautiful. We would like thank the staff for making our stay excellent.

If the receptionist will give the key of fifth floor when you check in, never accept this rooms. Why?
The elevator never goes to fifth floor only until fourth floor. You would have to carry your luggages.
Second, there's no balcony in the rooms of fifth floor, only one window. We have paid extra fee for lake view room but it was only for one window.
Third, there's no air conditioner in the rooms of fifth floor.

Room for improvement. First, the heating in the bedroom could not be turned off so you sleep in a sauna. Personal is aware of the problem But apparently there is 1 central heating system that heats all rooms and can only be turned on and off. Hotel is next to busy road, and next to a farm where the goats wear ring bells around the neck, so opening window was not nice either. Hardly slept at all.
Breakfast starts at 7 but was very sparse. When we left around 8 the croissants, eggs, yummy snacks came. If you are not ready than dont start at 7 am.
Cleaning public areas was neat, rooms could be better. Door was yellow from the many fingerprints and pillowcase was dirty.
Restaurant did not open until April (was not a problem for us).
View from the hotel is beautiful though. Easy to reach by car and train

A lovely building in a great location....short walk to shops and a fantastic lake view. Our room was modern but lacked some of the features you'd hope for in this price range. Also it was pretty small and while we had a little balcony, the motorway noise was quite noticeable.
While the restaurant is closed out of season the breakfast was good...expensive and with limited choice, but good quality. There's free parking too (undercover and in the open). Restaurant views are epic.
Overall it felt like a hotel that had once been very grand, but now was struggling to find its market.
We'd definitely go back but would pay less for the next stay.

Dear all,

the room we got was double worse as we booked.
I should add, that our reservation was more than in advance...

On top of it all - unprofessional service, dirty rooms, old broken furniture and no excuse from the hotel management...

Be prepaid and better to think twice before to choose this hotel.

Nice place with a really nice big window facing the lake from the dining area. My room was on one of the sides but I would have still been able to have a nice view. I was unlucky to be passing by on a foggy day. Personnel was nice. Breakfast might have been slightly overpriced. I was travelling by car, I don’t think it’s very accessible otherwise.

The location and the view are worth.
The rest not.
The hotel went through refurbishment. The room was completely lacking any charm and still has a mix of old and new.
The only contact with service was at arrival at the reception. Was ok but nothing special.
We had to wait 2 hours to get tge room because check in was at 15.00. No sign of flexibility
