The hotel has nice staff and owner, very friendly and try to help you when they can. The owner speaks English and French, and is also the chef. He's a great chef by the way and having dinner/lunch at the hotel is a surprisingly good experience. My friend who accompanied me is French and she was surprised that the food... More

We booked a room at Palacio Dos Olivos when we visited the charming medieval town of Estella. The hotel is about 10 kms from Estella in beautiful countryside. We were welcomed by the owner of the hotel, a direct descendant of the knight who built the premises. Mr. Galdiano is a perfect host. He took us to our room perfectly... More

Great location...tranquil village...staff are family woners of property and have been there for many many generations. Great access to local nature parks, limited but great menu...no local restaurants given size of village so limited options in this respect. We were one of 2 guests during our stay in July...has the place practically to ourselves which was nice. Very surprised to... More

There is no such thing as off-season at Dos Olivos. My boyfriend and I felt like we were the only two people in all of Galdeano, and it felt like a curated vacation in our own private palace. We rented a car so we could drive to hike to the Urederra fountainhead one day. Then did a 20km hike from... More

Beautifully restored castle in the tiny village of Galdeano. Staff are very friendly and helpful, even though we used a lot of sign language as they spoke no English and we spoke no Spanish! The rooms are well appointed, with lovely views of the village and countryside. Food was excellent, set menu in the dining room.

This is a fantastic traditional property, with extensive and amazing views over the valley below. The bedrooms are well modernised, a good bathroom and most things that you need in a hotel bedroom. Though not much in the way of information on the hotel or the area There are three restaurants - a cafe type one where you have dinner,... More

We enjoyed our stay there very much. It has actually been owned by the same family for 22 generations which is a huge accomplishment nowadays. The meals were very good. You can also drive only 6 kilometers to visit Estella while there for shops and other restaurants and come back to the quiet, sheep filled fields with the mountains surrounding... More
