My husband and I stayed at Casona de Qunitana for seven nights in September 2016. The owners Jose and Nuria are charming people and wonderful hosts and all the staff were lovely too. The room was spacious and comfortable and we had an indoor balcony area where we could admire the views and read. The whole area is stunning and... More

We left Bordeaux at around 10.15 in around 24 degrees C, but overcast the further south we got the worse the weather became by the time we crossed into Spain we had torrential rain and sadly that continued until we reached Casona de Quintana, so we were unable to enjoy some very spectacular scenery as the mountains were shrouded in... We stayed at this wonderful hotel hosted by Jose and Nuria for 5 nights in September 2016. We felt completely welcome by these two fantastic people and felt completely at home here. The hotel is a really well renovated farmhouse in a beautiful farming village. Our room was really spacious and had a great bathroom. Nuria's cooking is exceptional and... More

Casona de Quintana is run by a very hospitable and friendly couple and we thoroughly enjoyed a two night stay here in August. The town is extremely remote and, luckily, the hotel owners prepare a dinner menu which varies daily and includes local produce and ingredients for a very reasonable price. The rooms were nicely decorated, although the floors were... More

We spent five nights here in July 2016. Jose and Nuria are wonderful hosts. Nuria's cooking is beautiful and we ate well every evening. Breakfast was also great. They have a very good (and well-priced) wine list, too. The rooms are cosy, peaceful and the decoration is lovely. We took advantage of the homely lounge area downstairs, which is filled... More

Tucked away in the beautiful Cantabrian mountains, this is a hotel to get away from it all. The scenery is stunning and the peace and quiet was bliss, with just the odd cow bell to break the silence. The hosts were extremely warm and welcoming and the service was top notch through out our stay. The food was sublime and... More

Jose and Nuria are wonderful hosts and you feel that they genuinely love meeting and looking after their guests. After a day of walking in the surrounding mountains it was fantastic to come back to a hot bath followed by a fantastic... More

We picked this hotel, knowing nothing about it, because it was situated in an area we wanted to visit. It turned out that the hotel was the highlight of our stay in Cantabria. From the beautiful rooms with lovely balconies, to the super breakfasts, to the gourmet dinners, hosts Jose and Nuria treated us right. The hotel is located in... More

This is a small, family run B&B, a lovely period house, beautifully furnished with antiques and run by Jose and Nuria. You will feel like honoured guests in their house, as nothing is too much trouble - booking restaurants, advising on attractions and planning trips in the area. Do not go if you are looking for a lively time, and... More
