Booked the hotel last minute and didn't read the full website so was pleasantly surprised upon arrival. The hotel is lovely, impressive building with a lot of character. Lovely surroundings and history also. Room was perfect for what we needed. Spa, pool and gym which if I had checked would have made use of. Bar staff were extremely helpful, especially...

Was a guest at a wedding and the room where wedding ceremony was held was up 2 steep flights of stairs with no disabled access so missed my stepson wedding very annoyed. Then long wait in main reception area till room opened for meal. This would have also have been annoying for people to register having to fight their way...

The hotel is good: nicely decorated in a large and nice park. The building itself is beautiful. The family room was big, no problem to be 4 in this room. Bad point: the sound-insulation could be better. Breakfast was not exceptional: food average and staff overwhelmed (and we went there early). At least, the swimming pool was very large and...

We booked this hotel via spa breaks as we wanted a relaxing week end with the possibility to explore the city at some point. The hotel itself is lovely, a lot of character and all the facilities you could wish for including a great gym, spa and pool. We were a group of 9 which seemed too much to handle for...

Arrived at the hotel and went to the gym and had tremendous customer service from Simon and Lesley. I had left my trainers at home and Lesley kindly took me to a store to get some (she was on a work errand and took the opportunity to help me out as it was on the way). Now this was amazing...

This hotel was very cold throughout. The service was poor, they got our meal order wrong, when it came an hour later it was cold. For breakfast, there was a leak from the shower in the above room above , according to staff it happens all the time. We were never given the option to move tables! My jacket got...

From the outside this hotel in stunning and has the most beutiful grounds, the reception area was ok but not like most of the macdonald hotels, the girl on the desk was sat in the back office with the door wedged open and was not overly friendly...

A whole 14 years since I last stayed here I needed a hotel in the area and found a very good price including breakfast on a price comparison site. The hotel seems to be getting a mini refurb (or a lick of paint) in some areas. The hotel consists of a few buildings so you may not be in the...

We stayed here for a weekend just before Christmas for my friend's 40th birthday. The hotel itself is in a lovely location and the grounds are also lovely. The rooms, whilst not luxury standard were clean and well appointed. There is a function suite which is very busy with Christmas parties and disco nights in the run up to Christmas...
