We stayed for 7 nights in the ocean wing. The rooms and view were fantastic. But sadly the the food was terrible, even the morning breakfast was disappointing. Having stayed at the Shangri la in KL five times we booked this hotel thinking the standards would be the same, how wrong we were !!!! The Seafood buffet was atrocious, I...

Stayed 5 nights after staying in KL and Tanjung Aru.The best hotel of them all for relaxation. Ocean Wing room - Great! Service and staff were excellent. Only improvement needs to be the cocktail hour. In other hotels it is better organised,

A birthday celebration I will never forget. We stayed in the Ocean Wing which I recommend. It is worth the additional cost. The room, breakfast and swimming pool are luxurious and the sunsets breathe taking. We enjoyed a fanatic meal in every restaurant in the resort and the Tepi Lau cultural night was our favorite. In ten days we only...

Service from staff is exceptional. Food when compared to locally produced foods available at Markets in Kota Kinabalu is Average sadly for Breakfast Buffets and Dinner Buffets with exception to the dinner buffets provided on weekends next to the poolside which was excellent. The transfer services to and from the hotel for the airport are excellent and timely, however expect...

We had the Luxury Escapes package for 8 nights in a Deluxe Sea View Room. We were met at the airport and welcomed into the resort with cool towels and a drink. The room was beautiful with lovely sea views. The following day reception rang asking if everything was OK and I said yes but as the shower was over...

This is a lovely resort, only down side was that it is quite far from town. So we felt very confined. To credit of resort lots of excursions are available for booking. Staff was attentive. Rooms were satisfactory. I guess what you're paying for really is the beautiful grounds and privacy.

We booked this hotel for the nature reserve joined on to it to see the orangutans but sadly they have all been moved to the other side of the island that is a 4 hour drive or flight away, I think the hotel should make people more aware of this as many English people were as disappointed as we were....

Fantastic resort. I'll start with the only negatives - one of us was a vegetarian. There are five restaurants in the resort, plus room service. They are priced as you'd expect for a resort of this rating and the food is of high quality, but whilst there is plenty available for vegetarians, there isn't anything of wow factor. That remains...

Stayed at the Shagri La Rasa Ria for 5 nights with my friend and have to say it's a lovely resort. Very friendly and polite staff always happy to help. We stayed in the garden wing and the room was perfectly fine although not sure about 5star perhaps a 4. The breakfast buffet has lots of choice but does feel...

We enjoyed 7 days at Shangri-La's Rasa Ria resort and it was one of the best holidays we have experienced for some time. Our package was with Luxury Escapes and this was very good value with a lot of little extras, but it was upgrading to the Ocean Wing that really paid dividends on this occasion. The first thing that...
