My wife and I have “Premier Inn and National Trust Weekends” around the UK every couple of months. We look for Premier Inns near to or within easy driving distance of a selection of National Trust Properties. We book the Premier Inns a couple of months ahead and get some good

We booked several family rooms for one night to attend a family birthday. The rooms were comfortable with good facilities and an excellent price when purchased in advance. Breakfast at the Beefeater was extremely good as well.

Our stay this time and over the last 20+ years have been excellent. The quality of the service and breakfast was as always exemplary. We did give a lower than normal rating for the bed comfort because for some reason the bed was not as good as in the past and both of us were

Spent 2 nights here, would thoroughly recommend the accommodation and the food in the bar was excellent. Directions to get to the Premier Inn were a bit obscure when there is an easier route from the motorway.

Can anyone tell me cheapest taxi to use to get to the cruise terminals?
Yes, West Quay taxies are very good, based in town I think, 02380223450 they charged me £16.50p this year each way. Not sure if they are cheapest bu5 you get what you pay for. If you tell them you have cruise luggage they send an estate at least. If you pay cheap you will probably get a small car! Roger.

How long does it take by bus to the city center and how frequent are the buses please.
I haven't used the bus but there seems to be one passing about every ten minutes. It isn't particularly far as fair as I can tell. I'd say maybe 15 minutes but don't rely on me. Take a look on Southampton bus timetable website.

Hi Katie D Thanks for your question, Our family rooms accommodate 2 adults, 2 children (under 16) & a child (up to 2 years) in a cot. The room will consist of a double, sofa & pull-out bed. Some hotels have 2 sofa or pull-out beds. For more info, please visit the Premier Inn website or call the hotel directly on 0333 321 9007 (opt #). Regards Darren Brown Premier Inn team

I paid for the super fast, but it goes off when not using it, at night etc and you have to log back in each time, which was frustrating when I am waiting for emails and Skype calls, from abroad.and relied on it to wake me.

"The annex rooms, ( and main building rooms ?), facing the car park were certainly quiet during our visit despite the hotel being busy."
"Request a grounfd floor room if you have mobility problems"
"Take lots of fans with you or buckets of ice if the weather is hot to cool down no matter what room you get"
"Book in advance."
