We went as a group of 6 upon arrival check in was swift and we were given rooms close together. Don’t worry about the bad reviews I did and was pleasantly surprised you will have a great time

Rooms were clean, spacious and had enough storage they possibly do need some modernisation some bits were needing attention but it was clean and nicely decorated also has mini fridge which was replenished daily with water coke Fanta and juice which was a nice addition.

Food - buffet breakfast and tea there was a lot of choice for all diets they even had a special dietary section there was fresh cooking stations so food wasn’t left sitting around for ages. The fresh pasta is very good, I am quite a fussy eater and I found something each evening to eat. The wine waiters were fantastic always making sure drink was on hand a small tip helps too we had a table ready for us each evening.

Lunch is the best part tho! The a la carte is available at lunch time and the food and service in there is impeccable it has a chilled vibe and the fish and chips was excellent. There are also food huts serving fresh food the pizzas are very good!

Beach bar had entertainment on most evenings same in here a small tip to waiters goes a long way we had drinks available as soon as we sat down, we never went to the entertainment to the front of the hotel.

Main pool does get busy but we always managed to get beds whatever time we were looking but if you want specific ones you will likely need to go down about 7am. Hotel provides fresh beach towels which is a bonus!

Water park was good plenty sun beds round there can always get one

Starbucks was a nice added extra but does get busy longest we waited was 20 mins

Beach was lovely and clean and always plenty of beds on there.

We didn’t em get hassled by the water sports photo people once you’ve said no they recognise you and leave you alone

Entertainment team had plenty of people participating in the pool games

The noise complaints from other hotel didn’t affect us we never heard anything on an evening even noise from other rooms was minimal.

All in all we had a great time and my parents have been to many hotels in Lara beach and they loved it said it was one of the best.

This was our first family holiday to Turkey, We didn't plan to come here but what with Spain having lock down we gave Turkey a try for the kids age 12 and 14. I must admit it wasn't the best of starts, When we arrived the Bell boy takes all luggage which is a nice touch. unfortunately over an hour and half we still had luggage brought to our rooms so we had to go back down to reception and bring out up ourselves. Then we went into the lunch hall and as we was new to the hotel we didn't know how to get drinks with lunch so I went to ask a female member of staff only to be shouted at in Turkish. A Nice waiting then came to our rescue to help us and told what we need to do.

Ok that's the Bad stuff out the way, This Hotel was absolutely lovely, Apart from the rude lunch time lady everyone else couldn't help enough and also service with a smile. The Hotel was spotless with cleaning going on 24/7, Face Masks had to be worn in the food hall for all meals but not if you was eating outside at lunch time. only 1 beer on the all inclusive which was nice to drink, the Cocktails was amazing and the spirits was strong so don't ask for doubles. Only down side is they do a table service however they was massively understaffed in the beach bar so the line at the bar could reach 20 people long at times or if you was lucky enough to get table service you would wait ages for the drink. More staff here would have made a huge difference for everyone.

Food was good, Always something to eat no matter how fussy the eater. Also for the posh they had 2 restaurants on site which was at a change of 20 Euro more each per day you wanted to use it.

Waiters for dinner and Lunch was great, Tip them well and they really do look after you even more than normal.

They had 7 Pools so no matter what height or level of swimmer you are they have a pool for you. The water park was recently refurbished and a nice addition, My son loved the slides and my daughter liked the smaller ones.

Entertainment was for me OK but not great, Next door hotel had much better entertainment by the sounds of it with English singers and not locals killing our songs. They also did some shows but i found those also hit and miss!

I would defiantly come back to Turkey again and even to this hotel, The family missed it as soon as we had left.

We were both very sceptical about visiting Turkey, despite the pandemic anyway.
I booked this trip through Tui three days before we arrived here in Antalya and I am so glad I took the plunge and booked it.
The hotel is impeccably clean, there are specific people disinfecting the tables as soon as you get up after finishing food. Every member of staff wear masks including the lifeguards! The food is lovely, wide variety and something for everyone including me, I’m fussy! Lunch time restaurant by the pool is amazing, please try the pizza and give the guy a tip, outstanding!
The rooms are lovely, modern and cleaned daily once again to a high standard.
The bars have a wide range of alcoholic beverages but one down side is there’s only one variety or larger being Tuborg, does get boring after a day or two.
The WiFi isn’t the best, especially in the rooms and as you have to complete passenger locator forms 48hrs before returning to the UK, that was difficult.
Plenty of sun loungers, towels and tables at all restaurants and bars. Sea front bar is lovely both day and night. My favourite has to be the pool bar at 2000-2300 is the designated signature cocktail and tea bar, 10/10 this place. Try a frozen margarita!
Only downside to this hotel is the WiFi, 80% of staff speak very little English and as they now serve your food instead of you serving yourself this can be very difficult. One night I asked a female waitress if there was any entertainment to which I was told no. A couple a few tables away then informed me that there is entertainment every night and it is very good as well!
The steak restaurant was disappointing however, I wouldn’t recommend. It was a nice place to sit and enjoy a drink but the food itself was poor and very small portions.
I however, would 100% return to this hotel and I have already recommended to family and friends back home!
I would say this hotel is on the cusp of a 4-5* but they have dealt with the pandemic exceptionally well.

Just got back from this hotel and loved every minute of it. Well organised for keeping distance and staying safe for example The entertainment team would spay your hands and the darts before playing killer darts. Rambo in particular was very good making us all laugh at a distance while still having fun. The food in the hotel was mixed. Breakfast was ok if u like eggs for omelette. I had toast with cheese spread most days. The lunch time though was quality. There is a few food huts near the main pool, there is also a Pizza Hut Behind then that I highly recommend where they make your pizza fresh with the toppings u want. Evening meal there was plenty of choice for everyone. The main pool is massive and then there is a sea lounge over looking the beach where u could get drinks and has live entertainment on in some of the afternoon and nights. The beach has a jeti (like a pier) where u could walk out over the sea and then either jump, dive or go down the steps into the sea as well as sun loungers on. There’s also a pool with slides on for children. Free table tennis, a couple of lanes for 10 pin bowling & 3 pool tables (small fee for these) there is also a Spa with steam rooms and Sauna that are free to use. We had the Turkish bath that I recommend also that we got as a package with a massage as well. All in highly recommend this hotel and would definitely go back. All the staff are helpful and there is even waiter service (on roller skates some of them) round pool during the day as well as in restaurant and bars. Also no need to wear a band either which I quite liked being able to just go to the bars and order without using a card or showing a band. The rooms are fully air conditioning and all inclusive mini bar that is re filled daily as well as fresh towels and beds made up.

This hotel is stunning in every aspect, it has the absolute wow factor and can be defined as picture perfect.

Structurally, the hotel is absolutely beautiful and it is a perfect location with an incredible beachfront. It has a beautiful spa that offer a range of different treatments. The hamam, body scrub and massage were absolutely incredible.

Upon arrival, we were checked in by a lovely gentleman however, we were really disappointed that nothing was explained to us regarding the hotel and what facilities they had, what programs that offered, what activities there were, what entertainment to expect, what the times were for everything. It wasn’t until our last night that we were told by a waiter that the beach bar is open 24/7! We were so shocked and disappointed as we spent most nights on our terrace thinking it closed at 11:30. We missed every show/entertainment because we didn’t even know they existed! We were also not informed that we needed to book the A La Carte restaurants in advance so we completely missed out on them. It was so disappointing. Front of house & guest relations really need to step up their customer service.

The rooms were so spacious and very well equipped. The housekeeping team take pride in the cleanliness of the rooms and the tidiness. They replenish the rooms on a daily basis and are very prompt with the job. We had a beautiful big terrace, a mini bar which was my replenished daily and a kettle with water bottle and tea bags etc. The bathroom was generously equipped with a big range of toiletries including dental kits, shaving kits and vanity kit. The only negative about the room is that there was no iron and front of house said that we would have to bring our items of clothing to iron by reception which wasn’t nice.

The buffet was a hit and miss, not the best we’ve had but some days were better than others. We decided to go out on 3 of our 5 nights for dinner. All the staff in the restaurant are so friendly and so helpful. Table allocation needs to be implemented though as it was a bit chaotic trying to find a table and trying to keep it as you got up for the buffet.

The pools were beautiful and the beachfront was even better, we spent the majority of our time on the beach as it was more socially distanced and people get up too early to put their towels down by the pool so there is never any space.

The beach bar was so nice and we spent a lot of time there day and night. All the waiters and waitresses were so lovely and friendly, I praise them highly for their customer service.

Overall, it’s a stunning hotel. Front of House & Guest Relations need more attention to detail & customer service. Would I go back? Probably not, I’d like to try their competitors next door as their entertainment seemed to last longer at night and the DJ played better music. Would I discourage you from going? Absolutely not, everyone is so friendly and it’s a lovely hotel but make sure you make use of the facilities as much as possible, don’t make the same mistake we made.

Just returned from a wonderful week spent in this high quality hotel. We had one of their larger partial sea view rooms which was a very good size. The bed was HUGE!! I did find the mattress far too hard for my liking but my husband didn’t. It was very well equipped and cleaned daily to a high standard. Everything topped up including toiletries and mini bar (sadly, the soft drinks were not diet so not consumed). The hotel was very spacious and well appointed. Plenty of indoor seating and plenty of sun beds around the numerous pools. We only used the adults only pool as it was quieter. There’s a fantastic selection of drinks at the bars including lots of imported spirits. All the staff were friendly and very efficient. The food in the restaurant was very varied every evening and they had a number of themed nights too. It was high quality and fresh. In fact, it’s the best hotel food I’ve ever eaten (and I’m very fussy!) so can’t rate it highly enough. The staff served us drinks at our table every meal time. They worked very hard.
If you fancy a bit of luxury, hire a cabana on the beach for €50 from 10-5pm. You get pastries, fruit, ice cream, 2 bottles of champagne, drinks bowl and our server, Adem was amazing. He kept us in drinks from the bar all day! A lovely experience. We had 3 massage sessions in the spa which were ok but very expensive. We also did parasailing which cost €70 for 2 people. It was enjoyable but we were told we’d be in the air 10-12 minutes but in reality, it was 8 minutes so makes the activity very expensive. The hotel is in a great location. Walk along the beach in either direction to see all the wonderful surrounding hotels. Leave by the front door and there’s plenty of shops to browse in. Everything is priced in Euros but you seem to get a better deal if you pay in lira. Some of the evening entertainment was good (acrobats, salsa dancing) but the singers were dreadful in our opinion so we just couldn’t listen to them! We had a wonderful holiday and the hotel deserves their 5 stars!

We holidayed at the Bara Lara from 31st August-11th September. The hotel was lovely and rooms clean and comfortable.

Food was ok in the restaurant (had just as good food in 3* and 4*) the best food was at lunchtime in the snack bars around the pool. There is a ala carte restaurant which charges a premium of €15 per person to eat there. We have been to 5* all inclusive hotels before and never experienced this as it is always included in the price except for steak or lobster. We thought this was rather cheeky when you’re staying in a 5* platinum hotel.

Soft drinks and lager were nice. Cocktails not great again we would expect better quality and presentation in a 5*. We’re not big cocktail drinkers anyway.

All the staff were lovely always happy to help. The entertainment at night was not great but this could be due to the Covid-19 restrictions. It was very repetitive with a DJ set most nights in the sea lounge which isn’t good for older people. The hotel next door entertainment sounded a lot better than ours.

Please be aware that the hotel does not offer a courtesy room after checking out. You need to go to the spar and use a shower and get dressed either in there, the toilets or the back of reception where the suitcases are. Again, I would expect more from a 5*. If you do want a room it is €60 and you can only keep it until 6pm which isn’t great if you travel very late like we did.

Please do the parasailing at barracuda sports which is located on the beach. We did it and it was brilliant!

Overall, the hotel itself was lovely and the facilities are great. Plenty of sun beds, lovely bar areas and wonderful staff. We would not go back but that is our personal preference. We enjoy going out of the hotel to explore at Lara Beach there is nothing to do outside of the hotel there are no restaurants or bars.

Booked Baia Lara Hotel after our holiday to Cyprus was cancelled. We had previously been to Lara Beach 8 years ago staying at the Royal Wings which is currently closed, we had enjoyed the area so we were happy to travel there again.
On arrival at midnight we were greeted at reception and advised that the restaurant was open for food and drinks which was a lovely surprise. We upgraded our room to a room with a balcony which was sorted with ease and kindly no charge. Our room was lovely, very big and spotlessly clean with a great power shower cubicle. The hotel staff and management were excellent with the management of social distancing, and ensured all guests wore masks in the restaurant and public indoor areas. All the staff wore masks throughout and constantly cleaned every area. We felt very safe and were grateful for such excellent procedures.
The weather was amazing, many days exceeding 37 degrees, food fantastic, plenty of choice, plus the al a carte which was €15 supplement each. The cocktails great, never did we have an empty glass, the waiters, waitress’s and bar staff brought drinks over without us asking, very attentive. A special mention to Abdullah, Ishan, Seamus, Gazi and Osman, you really looked after us and made our holiday first class. A big thank you to the pizza guy, oh my your pizzas are amazing, and how you work in that heat in front of an open oven is just incredible! The hotel will do anything for you, nothing too much trouble, Ulker the Guest Relations lady was fantastic, so friendly and super helpful. The grounds and pool areas beautiful and very well looked after. There are 7 pools in total, we enjoyed the adults only, met some lovely fun people, we made some fab friends.
The beach is lovely, though stones as you get in plus a shelf as you go further, but warm and so clean.
Highly recommend Baia Lara Hotel, they are doing a fabulous job under the extreme circumstances!
Thank you to everyone at the hotel, we will certainly be back to see you

This hotel is beautiful and everything is very clean. The building is likely very new and is decorated with pristine marble. The beach is sand and a very short walk from the hotel. The food options are great, especially for lunch. There’s just this gap between 3:30 - 7 PM where you might go hungry. Everyone properly wears a mask, including the guests when indoors. There are two bars outside that are well staffed. While everything at this hotel is clearly at a 5-star level, the beds are straight out of a 2-star motel. The first night here ruined my back and I asked to be transferred to any room with a different bed, but apparently every single bed in this hotel is the same. It’s like sleeping on a park bench, and it’s painful enough to ruin a vacation. What’s the point of a vacation without a good nights rest?

We have visited Turkey on many occasions, this was however our first stay at Lara Beach resort. I chose the Baia Lara hotel from the brochure description which offered much that we were wanting in our holiday.
To be fair the hotel is in a reasonable location, closer to the Belek end of the resort and it looks quite attractive on first sight.
The reception area is functional, the staff try to be helpful, but some have little grasp of English, making communication difficult and open to misinterpretation.
The rooms were generous, well equipped and ours had a good size balcony. The room was clean on arrival, though was rarely cleaned or dusted again during our stay, I think the sheets were changed only once during the week.
The bathroom was a decent size, with all the towels changed daily, other than that the room was not cleaned again during our stay.
The outside public areas were very well maintained, beautifully tended flower beds and the bars kept clean throughout the day.
Breakfast was a good experience, with an extensive choice available. the croissants however were inedible with a doughy lump inside. The scrambled egg was a disaster too with the consistency of custard.
Lunch by the pool wasn't so bad either, reasonable choice, plenty of space and lots of staff waiting on your table.
Dinner was the worst by far with theme nights limiting your choice throughout the week, disinterested waiting staff and far too many people crammed into a small area. Queues were long with guests becoming stressed, not all of the food was piping hot and I met several people who blamed dinner as the source of their tummy upsets.
Entertainment in the Main Stage Area was abysmal.
Evening events in the Pool Bar were so loud, you could not hold a conversation, even ordering at the bar was difficult to do.
The staff at the hotel run it on a tipping culture, you tip, they serve. they become your friend. If you don't tip you wait. The room maid said we could tip her at any time, we needn't wait until the end of our stay!
Usually, with a holiday you get what you pay for, at the Baia Lara you pay rather a lot and it's not good value.
There are lots of 5 star hotels out there, read the reviews, choose wisely.

Response from BAIA LARA MANAGEMENT, General Manager at Baia Lara Hotel
Responded 17 Sept 2022
Dear Guest, Thank you for your review, but we would like to highlight that our hotel has 5 stars according to the facilities provided on a daily basis in our hotel. That is why it is unacceptable and officially incorrect to call our hotel anything less than a five-star hotel. In addition to the five-star hotel, we do have all the services and room categories according to the five-star hotel standards. We would kindly ask you not to share false information based on your own opinion and not proven with official facts.
