Stayed for 5 nights in Ramada Lara resort ..Overall experience is outstanding..Staff were friendly and helpful, specially the guest relations team were great. They clinically explained to us how to buy bus tickets to go to old town as English instructions are not widely used on bus ticket machine.Food items and presentations were excellent..However more popular Chinese and Indian dishes for UK guests would have been the perfect icing on the cake..A BIG THANKS to the team to make our holiday a memorable one..

Room size little small but okay, had a balcony which was nice Food quality and taste was good but restaurants were getting so busy and was difficult to find a table Main reason for my review is the A La Carte experience We were offered one night free in Italian Alacarte and we felt the guy who was a main waiter his attitude was a bit off He can ruin our experience the way he talks and treats people Upon arrival- we were asked to sit on one table just near the entrance and lots of tables still available to we kindly asked if we can sit at the back and he wouldn’t let us , after few minutes he gave us another table next to the table he offered and no other option We were forced to order all food in one go - I am a vegetarian and when I asked question he would make sarcastic comments- wasn’t nice Food was excellent in A La Carte but still left bitter taste and unpleasant memory I hope hotel management reads my review ans do something about it

Arrived at the hotel the reception staff were very attentive and quickly processed us through to our room 2202. Room was a decent size and overlooked the pool areas but got extremely noisy from 20:30 - 23:00 when the entertainment was on. One major issue for me is that the main bar, actually the only bar open late, IS the main hotel lobby. You were sitting having a drink with people arriving and departing at all times as well as being the main conduit to access every other part of the hotel. The same 5-6 songs (if you can imagine lift music) also played on repeat the entire time we were there. The bar therefore had no other music playing or any screens to watch any sports events that were on (granted it is not a sports bar). Due to the lack of other bars in the hotel this area was extremely busy of a night and we often had to go back to the room with drinks as there was nowhere to sit. This hotel also had dozens of folk staying to have their teeth done or cosmetic surgery. The private cars would pull up in the morning and drop back off at night. The bar often resembled a hospital waiting room with bruised faces, bandaged heads an bruised bodies!. Food was decent enough but repetitive. Desserts looks amazing but 90% of the cakes tasted the same. There are several points of the day where there is no food available throughout the hotel due to cross over times. This is the first 4 - 5 star AI that I have experienced this. Booked the A la Carte (Italian) and whilst it was ok, there wasn't a great deal of selection. There also wasn't a pasta dish as one of the 3 main courses, strange? Lots of cats around in the ground and wandering about the hotel. I myself am allergic to cats however they didn't really bother anyone out with food times when they sat by your table. There are also signs within the hotel telling you not to annoy or aggravate the cats. The sister hotel, the Wyndham (across a small road) was closed as it was off season therefore cutting bar and dining options considerably, something that wasn't highlighted to us during booking. It did open on our 3rd night to accommodate the kids and adults shows but that was as far as it opened. The beach was closed along with the beach bar but I suppose I could expect that being off season. Drinks were of poor quality. Asked for a Mojito an literally got a glass with 2cm of brown sugar at the bottom, a Bacardi and lemonade with some sort of greenery (not mint) and lemons floating at the top. Yes lemons not limes. This was on more than 1 occasion. If you wanted red bull, bottle of Miller or Becks for instance its £5 upward. Don't know what the top level spirits cost as I didn't have any due to poor selection. Hotel, grounds and rooms are kept immaculately clean. No sooner have you put a plate down in the restaurant or a glass down in the bar area/pool area there is a member of the team over picking it up. Hotel reps/travel reps are there every day and do a good job. Wifi in the hotel is ok during the day but drops off massively at night, I assume when everyone is using it. One English news channel on the tv. As Turkey isn't in EU your data and mobile roaming charges are quite high. If your going to do it, purchase it before you go. As I couldn't get a signal in the airport to buy from O2 (as I didn't have data) which then meant I couldn't access the booking app for my travel to the hotel etc! The airport free WIFI is accessed through a small electronic Kiosk that you need to swipe your passport through located at the bottom of the escalator going into the baggage hall. You wont miss it as there is a queue a mile long to use it (as there is only one of them). This machine is hit and miss and it took me 30 - 40 swipes on 10 different login attempts to access the individual code. Doesn't seem to work with older style passports (burgundy coloured ones). Also seen dozens of people leave as the swipe didn't pick up their passport or ID card. SPA treatments are very good and reasonably priced, had 2 treatments. Also had a haircut and shave in the salon which was of great quality and a decent price. The local area is full of clothes shops and not much else. People selling from these shops were almost dragging you in and a few started with obscenities when we walked past. Didn't see 1 bar open and only a handful of restaurants in the entire area. Probably again due to off season, if you went out after sunset it was a very intimidating stretch of road to walk along. Travelled to Antalya for the day and tbh, if I could have spent the week here I would have. Lots of things to do and see, nice harbour, lots of restaurants, bars, cafes and shops spread over a large area. One thing to note DO NOT take Turkish Lira as your main currency. Every shop will take almost anything (dollar, GBP, Rubles, Euros, Turkish Lira) however everything is advertised in Euros. Every shop created their own exchange rate for Lira which seen us royally ripped off in almost every one as they exchanged it at a far worse value than bought. One day I calculated that for my £150 exchanged in M&S 3 days earlier, they had it working out at a rate which equated to £115 - £120 in 2 -3 different shops. Stick with Euros. To cap off the week the weather wasn't the greatest (which is not the hotels fault in the slightest) but due to all the above we could stand to say there any longer and flew home early. I have had conversations with several people since my return and found their experience of other local hotels to be completely different to mine so may just be time of year and this specific hotel.

The hotel was reasonable, but the clientele was awful. I had to move to another hotel even though I paid for 4-days. Positives Weatherspoon quality food and service: everything is edible and reasonably tasty, and plenty of options and a plentiful amount of food served for all three meals. Kids club was good, well run by the team Drinks were acceptable Negatives There were no health and safety rules, the gym was open to all, and families had a picnic on the corner while their kids were running wild using the equipment! I saw 6/7-year-olds trying all equipment without supervision and had to call guest relations as it wasn't safe for the kids. Staff appeared fed up due to business and the chaos guests were creating. The hotel reduced its AI prices to the absolute bottom to fill the hotel and attracted people with no manners whatsoever. At meal times, people were pushing each other, filling their plates up, speaking in various languages very loud, and shouting at their kids. It felt like a refugee camp

It is a nice place for holidays. Food and room service is great with good size rooms. Friendly staff and accommodating customer service. The water activities are limited if you come off season. Few water slides although kids club is great fun for young ones.

Very attentive and friendly staffs and great amenities! My friends and I enjoyed 5 nights at Ramada Hotel from 27/01/24 until 01/02/2024. My partner and I had a spacious and comfortable Superior family room with pools view and a balcony, same as my friends! The food was delicious with big varieties of choices, and available throughout the day! All inclusive!!!! Fabulous!!!👏🍷🥂 I would like to praise the Junior Sous Chef Ibrahim and the waiter Gokhany who has given us a special attention and went extra on their duties! Thank you!🙏 You really made our experience at Ramada Hotel outstanding! And when we come back one day, we hope you take care of us again because we were so impressed at how well you did your job! Well done!!! 🙏🙏💕🥂 Thank you so much for you both and for all staffs from the Ramada Hotel 🏨🙏💕🇹🇷👏
