Hotel's Favourite
I emailed the hotel to make a reservation for the al a carte restaurant explaining it was for our anniversary, the day after we checked in a complimentary fruit bowl & bottle of wine was sent to our room.
To address some of the comments below.
As far as money being stolen goes, I'm sure the hotel vets all of it's staff but if you're stupid enough to put temptation if front of a large amount of people, then there will always be one person tempted. The proper thing to do would have been use the FREE safe in the room!
"The food was horrific" Neither of us, nor anyone we spoke to had a problem with the food. The food wasn't always steaming hot but that's always the case when people don't put lids down. "I was ill all week" Again we never spoke to anybody who had a problem, maybe worth a visit to a doctor?
"If you are a person of colour do not expect to be welcomed" FFS! probably more than 50% of the guests were 'persons of colour'. We spoke to families from Africa, Iran & the Caribbean, none of them mentioned having had any problems. As for the staff, not everybody works long hours & still manages to smile all the time. Most of the bar staff serving the outside tables had a smile on their face & were always polite.
To sum up, I honestly believe that the hotel aspires to 5* status. The room was clean & cleaned regularly. The food was hot & varied with a really wide choice of different dishes. The bar service was fast & efficient. I would recommend booking the a la carte if you get the chance, 5 courses of freshly cooked food of your choosing for about a tenner, what's not to like?
The million dollar question, would we come back? To the hotel? in a heartbeat. To Antalya? not in a million years, only because we prefer to be closer to a marina, boat trips & restaurants.

We are presently staying at the Grand Park Lara which is kept very clean and definitely attention to cleanliness around the pool areas is very good. The family room is good size and clean even though the toilet flush keeps dropping off.
Double bed and two singles in separate rooms with tv’s in both areas. Amazing light show from the hotel’s opposite.
However the lack of facilities available are very disappointing as two buffet style but served to you are both horrendous and repetitive.
The breakfasts hot choices are sadly cold and the lack of social distancing whilst queuing are non existent. As you distance, someone will barge in.
The lack of awareness by the restaurant staff is alarming, whilst the chefs don’t take attention of what you require ,just stick on a plate whilst people are walking in front of you.
The amount of confrontations with predominantly Russians and Eastern European’s is uncomfortable whilst in dining areas.
The availability and choice of bars and dining is sadly disappointing as the evening entertainment is dance, dance and more dance routines every night.
The beach area is over the road either 5 minutes walk or shuttle available. The beach is fine but very overcrowded and has covering over the sun loungers.
Highly recommend Marisun Restaurant besides Sultan Mall fantastic food and attentive service, it’s newly opened and definitely worth visiting when you tired of the repetitious food in the hotel.
Special mention of the sun loungers around the pool are basic plastic and very uncomfortable
A’la Carte mostly closed, Hollyhock Bar closed,Patisserie closed in middle of September.
Unfortunately we wouldn’t be returning
Cleanliness 8/10 - Staff friendly 7/10 - Food 3/10- Entertainment 2/10

Currently staying at the grand park lara and the only reason I have rated this hotel a 3 is because of the cleanliness and the great effort of the cleaning staff to make sure the hotel stays that way. Apart from this it is very disappointing the food is served cold and not much choice for hot food at breakfast or dinner and aside from the fact that you have to battle with ignorant and arrogant russians at every turn just to get to the food station. They are beyond rude and have no intention of obiding by social distancing rules you can literally feel their breath down your neck and thats if they haven't already attempted to push in front of you. I would be happy to never see another russian or eastern European tourist again in my life after this holiday they need to learn basic manners. It is 50/50 whether the hotel staff will be friendly and helpful or rude however there is friendly helpful staff (mostly the cleaners) here just not 100% as it should be. The nightly entertainment is really loud and seems to go on forever with no regard to elderly holiday makers. As for outside the hotel the locals are like flies constantly harassing you even after being told no several times following you down the street and making you feel really uncomfortable. Several times I have purchased items and not been given the correct change once can be accepted as a mistake but multiple times just makes you feel as though you are being ripped off. I cant wait to get home from this place and sadly will not be returning I feel as though my money has been wasted and I have not enjoyed it at all. Possibly the only good points that I can state is the water park (land of legends) is great as long as you purchase fast track otherwise you will spend the day waiting in line and also the room airconditioning is very good. I really advise against staying here if you are not russian or eastern European hope this saves anyone who reads it from disappointment.

Have just returned from a 10 day holiday here with jet 2,travelled with my husband and three children(age 6,9 and 13).
We stayed in a family deluxe room which was basic ,beds not very comfortable with one of the beds being a sofa bed.The room was to what I would call a okay standard could have been cleaner ,cigarette burns on the bed throws, sheets had been ripped but stiched up etc.
Lobby areas also stink of cigarette smoke i presume due to guests smoking in rooms.
Food was very poor ,not impressed by choice very repetitive and we have all returned home with upset stomach's. Absolutely zero social distancing going on in any of the dining areas ,very crowded and unorganised.
Entertainment was okay again very repetitive with dance shows.
Pool areas were well kept and was a lot easier to ensure social distancing in this area.
The beach is one of the most awful I have seen ,overcrowded with sunbeds which have seen better days ,backs on to what can only be described as waste land. Not pretty at all.
The location is close to the airport but not much else,Lara beach is like a self contained tourist complex filled with all inclusive hotels and bazaars, again not pretty to walk around especially not at night with stray dogs ,beggars and men trying to hand your children cheap plastic tat in exchange for money.
Getting anywhere outside the hotel was expensive as the hotel seem to run in conjuction with a local "taxi" company who didn't seem to offer a metered service at all. With all of this in mind this was my first visit to Turkey and very probably the last I'm afraid to say.Antalya airport is also a disgrace in regards to social distancing/boarding planes etc I really can't see how Turkey can be pushing themselves forward with "covid safe tourism" when this is the way that they operate .

Overall impression and experience of this holiday was not great.
As soon as we arrived, managed to check I with very brief information being provided. We were handed a leaflet with the meal times and then told what room we were in and where to get the lift from. I travel alot and it doesnt matter if it's a 5 star hotel or a cheap b&b, but the staff will always show you to your room. There was none of that in this hotel and I found it very unprofessional. I do believe there is an element of racism with the staff at this hotel as the following day a young white couple had checked in and were taken to their rooms by a friendly member of staff.
The rooms AC kept turning on and off and we asked the reception if someone could have a look at it. After sometime a gentleman came who did not speak any English but we finally managed to sort the AC out
The room that we had booked was a standard room without pool view. The room itself was fine but there was no balcony but a window that opened only. I found this very disappointing as again any inclusive holiday I have been to whether it was a standard or pool view they all came with a balcony. We were offered a family room for an extra €70 but it did not make sense as there was any 2 of us and we did not need a family room.
Housekeeping would change the towels but they very rarely cleaned. The bathroom was cleaned every few days only. On one occasion they had left out hotel room open.
Entertainment wise there was no advertisement as to what was going on that night. The time varied so you wouldnt even know what to wait for. One evening we waited until 9pm when they started the kids disco but we gave up and went communication is extreme poor in this hotel.
In terms of the food, there was no variety, it was more or less the same foods for lunch and dinner. The food was cold and bland, some of it was not even cooked properly.
There was some positives about the hotel. The hotel has lots of pools, the rooms were a decent size. It's close to local shops etc.
I would not visit this hotel again unless I went for a room only. It is not worth the money and the all inclusive is pointless for food as you end up eating out.

We arrived at the hotel at 9.30pm, to an overcrowded and extremely busy reception. Although check in was smooth, it was totally impersonal and we were given a mass of paperwork and cards and sent on our way. Had it not been for the help of a passing Brit, I think we would still have been standing there now, as we really had no clue to go and the place is like a rabbit warren of buildings.
The room was okay, very basic but clean. The real issue with this hotel is the dining arrangements. Of the 11 eating establishing this complex, only one was open, with the exception on the Tulip bar which opened for the occasional breakfast. Consequently, there were literally hundreds of (mainly Russian) people descending on the restaurant at meal times. The overcrowding was so bad that the management put some dining tables in the corridors to mop up the over spill from the restaurant. There is an A La Carte service two or three times per week, which we were pleased to pay the 5 euros entrance fee to, as it meant we could eat in a civilised manner, with waiter service and no pushing and shoving from other guests for the best food. The bar area is well stocked and the bar staff are particularly attentive, bringing refills of drinks before you have noticed your glass is nearly empty.
All in all, we were overwhelmed by the size and scale of this hotel, which spoilt our enjoyment of the hotel, and we would not recommend this hotel to other people.

We take guest feedback very seriously, you can can rest assured that your comments will be shared with our team so we can continue to improve our service. There is no waiter service in the restaurant in the concept of our hotel. But we try to serve our guests as much as possible. There was a lot of interest in our hotel on New Years Eve, so we entertained many guests. Our guests were satisfied with our New Year's Eve party and the high quality service. We are upset that you have some problems. If there are any problems with the hotel, the guest relations department in the lobby will be contacted and the problems will be resolved very quickly. We hope to welcome you again in our hotel, Sincerely, Grand Park Lara Team

Just back from a weeks all inclusive at the Grand Park Lara with my fiance. We had the best time ever!
The hotel is absolutley spotless! Every time you turn around there is a cleaner cleaning everything from top to bottom. The rooms were spotless aswell and pretty spacious.
All the staff are so friendly and the service was top quality. Ibrihim in the Holly Hook Pub bar was one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. Always smiling and always had our drinks ready for us at the bar! Hes one of the reasons we continued to use the bar. Tamar from the entertainment team was also another lovely guy. Also always smiling aswell and so friendly towards us. These 2 are a credit to your hotel!
The choice of food at meal times was great. So much choice for everyone. I am a fussy eater and yet always managed to fill a plate. We took advantage of the 50% off deal at the A la carte restaurant a few nights of our stay, the chinese night was amazing and definatley worth the €4 each. The waiter in here is also a credit to your team, i am not sure of his name but he also was always smiling and so friendly aswell. The 2nd night we went back he remembered what we were drinking and got our drinks without even needing to ask!
Only one pool was open when we were there but that was expected due to low season, wasnt a problem though. We spent most of our afternoons in it and loved every second of it.
Ive read a lot of bad reviews about it being full of lower leauge football teams. Yes this is true, but it is not a problem. They are all very well behaved and a credit to their teams. We had many of conversations with some of the players who were happy to sit and laugh and joke with us in the bar. All such lovely gentlemen.
We would definatley return to Grand Park lara again in the future, and we will definatley be recomemding to all our family and friends. ☆☆☆☆☆

A few days into a one week stay all inclusive, not everything is open on site being winter but happy with my room, paid for a standard room and given a triple room with balcony all to myself, only thing is F block a bit of a trek to the restaurant that is open but worth it for bigger room.
Staff have been friendly and helpful but as others have mentioned the food is not fantastic hot dishes always cold even at start of service.
I would stay here again though out of season.
Can see this is a good value hotel for families.

Staying at the Grand Park Lara hotel as a family. Check in was good with prompt assistance to our room in C Block, a really nice room well suited for our family. On an all inclusive stay at hotel, the food in particular at this hotel is excellent and such a large choice with some additions to dishes at different sittings every day. Is a nice feel at the hotel, mix of nationalities and relaxed pace. The service is also very friendly from the excellent cleaning service, you see cleaners cleaning throughout a very clean hotel to waiter service at the hotel all excellent. We have also used the spa services at the hotel. We were slightly worried as the indoor kids club is currently getting refurbished along with the slides and beach service being closed due to the winter period, that the kids would be bored. But they have found the amenities at the local area and hotel more than enough to occupy them along with day trips with Antalya and places like Side and Belek in reasonable reach. Would definitely recommend this hotel and location for any holiday.

I am so glad we only had to stay there a week, loud music at night flashing lights around the hotel come across your room to way beyond 2am, staff unfriendly mostly on reception, only interested in taking money off you. no literature in the room as regards what facilities the hotel has, you have to pay for sue of the safe £2 a day, food below average most people I met were complaining, food never hot, tepid, I had a bad stomach whilst there. some people from the Uk looked very bored, nothing to do outside of this complex just shops to buy bags, shoes scarves etc. taxi from the hotel into Antalya centre 25 euros! hotel not helpful when asking for a room to change/ shower when you have a very late flight, even offered to pay over the top for a room for an hour or even 2 but still refused a room, hotel was a third full as well so NO excuse .
Not a cheap area. bad choice of hotel after having no holidays this year, very disappointed, would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

Yes, you collect them from the spa area
It is about 15–20 kilometers (around 20–30 minutes by car) from the main nightlife area in Antalya, which is concentrated in the city center and the Old Town (Kaleiçi).
Kaleiçi is a historic district with charming streets filled with bars, restaurants, and clubs. It’s the heart of Antalya’s nightlife…
Around lunch time for about an hour but open at all other times!
Very few unfortunately. Some of the European channels have some half decent shows with subtitles. A friend of mine downloaded TV shows from virgin/sky before they left on a previous holiday and used a cable to connect to TV. Good luck x
