Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The hotel itself is clean and comfortable The rooms are very pleasant, and there was a good view from my balcony. The breakfast is good with a nice selection of breads and pastries. My only complaints would be 1) street noise from car traffic (which the hotel can't really control); and, 2) conversations outside the hotel until fairly late at night. For whatever reason, people would have conversations on the ground floor at night (not sure if hotel guests or not), and I could hear it all in my room. This hotel is very close to the beach, and it has a wonderful gelato bar in the lobby/reception area.

Super happy we found Baleal. A lovely part of Portugal. Not overly touristy, friendly locals and great surfing. Gabana Inn was perfect accommodation and from what we saw it was one of the most modern and best value so close to the beach. We ate in their restaurant each night and again loved it. Always busy and mostly locals dining, drinking and enjoying ice cream which is always a good sign. Great hospitality from the staff too. I hope we return.

I stoped in this hotel because of surf school located inside and is good decision if u plan to surf. Anyway you should understand baleal is village without any interactive. No uber only expensive taxies, city is far, bus stationis far (i mean for walking). The hotel is what u expect for this price. But the view from balcony was the trash cans))) so it was quite disappointing. No fruits or vegetables at breakfast, only carbs.

All things here are perfect. People, staff, meals, musics, wifi. The best place so far ❤️❤️❤️ Pancakes, burgers and ice creams are probably the best on this side of Portugal. Will definitely come again!

Galana hotel was not our 1st. choice but we had a very good experience. The room is unpretentious but clean and with a comfortable bed. A small balcony with a nice sea view. No toiletries with exception of a shower gel. They also have a decent restaurant/café on the ground floor with a reasonable menu (pasta, burgers, pizzas and daily menu) with good quality and good prices. Also worth to mention the excellent ice cream and crepes. Excellent service all the time. Special thanks to Sergio, always helpful.

What a great little hotel/hostel! Beautiful rooms, we had a little balcony and had sea views. Crisp and clean and beautifully presented. Breakfast was in the restaurant at the front and was yum! Freshly bakes chocolate croissants, Portuguese Tarts, freshly squeezed juice and much much more. Staff were exceptional and so attentive. Of a night some of the regular locals come down and watch the soccer so its a lovely welcoming place where you feel included. The beach is across the road and you van walk to restaurants etc and the many beaches. Its a short 5 minute drive to Peniche which is lovely to visit. We visited April 2018. very happy with this little place!

The hotel is located approx. 200 meters from the beach. The rooms are new with some standard IKEA interior. All the rooms has a balcony, but it is only the room facing the sea that has a balcony you can actually sit on. The rest are 30-40 cm wide. The reception is also a cafe and the staff is not very polite - e.g. asked the receptionist if they had an extra blanket. They said one double bed, one blanket, end of discussion:) go there for the beach and an ok place to sleep:)

Hotel has a bar and ice cream parlour below. Stopped for ice creams with my two children. The place lacked atmosphere although staff very friendly. Selection of ice cream flavours not inspiring, but quality good and less than 2 euros. Not bad at all

My wife and I have now eaten twice in this newish establishment. Nice but not overly expensive restaurant menu with a lovely selection of ice creams. Very friendly welcome and service in nice clean and bright premises. Pleased to recommend.
