We had an absolutely lovely stay at Fen House. The room was immaculately clean and tastefully decorated with an extremely comfortable bed. The attention to detail made a very good B & B into an exceptional one. The garden is lovely, the hosts are too - nothing is too much trouble and they are very welcoming. Pay no attention to...

The term B&B doesn't do it justice! This is a wonderful place to stay with great rooms, amazing gardens and welcoming hosts, who clearly put a huge effort into making their guests feel at home from home. We have stayed here a number of times and would highly recommend. Love the breakfast, and it's great that they use all local,...

Comfortable bed & well-equipped room, but at breakfast the sausage was just appalling - half-raw and entirely gristle & fat. Yuk!! I spat the first bite out onto my plate in disgust. When I mentioned this (after I had paid my bill), the owner rather arrogantly told me it was my personal taste that was at fault. I work &...

My husband and I only stayed at this excellent B&B for two nights, but wished it could have been longer. If you need to find a B&B in the area of Bury St Edmunds make sure you stay at Fen House, Pakenham.

We couldn't ask for more from a bed and breakfast. Lovely, spacious, comfortable room with memory foam mattress and beautiful bathroom (room 1), a peaceful and picturesque setting with a fantastic garden filled with birds, and all the extra little frills that really make the difference - tasty breakfast with a vast array of choices, dressing gowns in the room,...

We spent just one night, but wish we had been able to stay longer. The room we stayed in was scrupulously clean, modern, amazingly comfortable bed ( memory foam mattress) and with all the facilities you may have needed (even a sewing kit!). The shower was good (always important to us!) the B &B is on a quiet tranquil lane,...

We read the reviews on tripadvisor before booking, and thought, "It can't possibly be as good as that!" We were wrong - if anything it was better. All the good things other reviewers have said are true! We enjoyed the beautiful garden, and what a treat to watch goldfinches and a woodpecker on the bird feeders outside the window of...

We had a lovely stay here. The owners made it feel like a home from home. The breakfast was really good. One example of how nice the owners are is that we said we would be back late on the Saturday night; they said it was fine and that they would leave the door open for us. The rooms are...
