We were kept awake till 12.30 a.m. Because there was a wedding right below our room. We booked in for a Saturday night and there was never any mention of any event being held. Our room was okay but we did not get any sleep because of the very loud doof doof music in the convention centre below our room....

Having stayed here many years ago, we were surprised to discover the studio units. Added to the back of the existing chalet units, these compact spaces are more than adequate for a couple. The kitchenette allowed us to self cater our breakfasts. The bathroom was tiny. The bed was comfortable, although the pillows could have been better. We had a...

$197.93 for one night. Check in and check out was friendly and efficient. The hotel is a good 20 or so minutes drive into Launceston center. There is a public bus going every hour but if you need to make it in for a tour or a cruise then you may want to stump up for a taxi. Which is...

We stayed in the Waterfront King Spa Villa (Room 511). Right on the lake, nice view of the golf course. The good: Comfy king bed, nice spa, decent breakfast (included in our package). Family of ducks lives on the lake and were happy for a feed. Very close to Launceston (about 15 minute by car). Close to Tamar Valley wineries....

We stayed here as two adult couples without kids. This was the most expensive hotel we stayed at in Tasmania and the most disappointing. The cottage itself was fine, good double beds, but the pool and hot tub were gross. And the hotel only cleans them once a week! Wi-Fi can only be found in the lobby, not the rooms....

On arrival we were surprised that the resort sits in a residential area, not quite the country retreat we imagined. The resort itself is looking tired and shabby although our room within the hotel itself was clean, it too was tired and in need of refurbishment. Much of the surrounds, outdoor furniture, bbq areas, artificial flower arrangements and various 'decorations' around...

We went down to Tassie for a 3 day stay on our fourth and now possible our last "Luxury Escape". We were disappointed by the fact that we had had such great holidays based on Luxury Escapes recommendations and this venue is certainly not a Luxury Escape. As hard as some of the very young and inexperienced staff tried we...

We have stayed at Aspect Tamar Valley twice previously and enjoy going back. We received a great package deal that included a full cooked breakfast for the 5 of us every morning - this was a great saving. The kids enjoy swimming in the indoor pool and the older kids enjoyed using the gym. The Chalets are getting close to...

After looking forward to a nice break in Tamar valley, we stumbled upon aspect Tamar valley resort. The advertising looked fantastic. Without a doubt this is the worst place we have stayed at. Activities close at 5pm while sunset is not until 9pm, the place has no soul, staff not motivated, located across the road from residential housing. The hotel...

This resort is located about 20min drive out of Launceston in the lovely Tamar Valley. It actually makes it closer to get to Cradle Mountain and beauty point. We booked one of the lakeside villas. The villa we got actually face the golf course rather than the lake but it was still nice. There were many ducks, geese, other birds...
