Yet another stay at this wonderful hotel and once again a perfect holiday. Fantastic christmas decorations and cracklings fires were a welcome sight after a drive on a freezing cold afternoon. Once again the staff were excellent, working their socks off to ensure a perfect stay for everyone. Food was superb and the room was so warm and comfortable. Peter...

My wife and I spent three nights at the Coledale Inn and found it be excellent over a range of facilities. We enjoyed a very comfortable room, which provided a wonderful view of a delightful snow-capped Skiddaw. Breakfast and evening meals offered a wide choice and were very tasty. The residents bar was enhanced by a blazing log fire. Service...

Stayed for two nights as a little break with my dog. Can often be difficult to find hotels with ground floor rooms, especially when wanting to bring my dog too. Neither was problem with this hotel. Stayed in room 17, which is a ground floor room (with a couple of steps) accessed by it's own door on the side of...

Stunning location. Nice room, looked like it had been recently refurbished. All staff were excellent, particularly Peter behind the bar and Pam who served us breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble. Well done to Gary and Carol. We will be back. Thanks you.

We stayed in an annexe adjacent to the hotel, which required just a short walk for breakfast, service was quick, plenty of staff, so no waiting for food, I have had better "full English" but I have no complaints. Evening meals were of good quality and were plenty to eat and good value for money. Our room was of a...

I've stopped at many hotels, very few have felt as warm and welcoming as this. The room was good, food excellent and location perfect, but above all the welcoming staff are what really makes the place special. In an age of look- a-like hotel chains this is a very welcome change: a real traditional hotel. I could not recommend highly...
