Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We've had a wonderful stay with Philippe and Magalie at their family room. Although we only stayed 1 night, we've had the best exprience. A very warm welcome, a beautiful family room, a great swimming pool for the kids, an excellent recommendation of Philippe to dine in the nearby bistro and a wonderful breakfast. We would go back any time and can highly recommend this hidden gem amidst the lavender fields of the beautiful Provence!

We went to The Catalan 18 years ago. We fell in love with the place we went back with our grand daughter and our dog. Our grand daughter was just so happy playing in the pool, going for walks and having long naps because it was so peaceful. Magali and Philip are such lovely people they were so helpful and kind we didn't want to leave.

Where do I start? We recently stayed at Le Catalan and it was everything we wished for and more. The Setting - The property is set in the countryside so it is peaceful and the air is clean. Notwithstanding it is not too far from the main road so driving out each day was easy. The Property - Attention to the slightest detail is not spared. It is obvious that the owners took pride in converting the house to be able to invite guests whilst at the same time showing the best of Provencal countryside. The rooms are pretty, welcoming and above all clean. I am a fussy sleeper and I slept soundly for the entire stay. The Hosts - In all our travels I do not think that we have come across hosts who are so welcoming and yet so discreet. Every morning Philippe and Magalie prepared breakfast whilst giving us all the help we needed with the day's plans, places to go to, directions to get there and helpful tips. I look forward to staying at Le Catalan again, maybe next time during Lavender season.

Already several times I had the privilige to be the guest of Philippe and Magali : they know exactly how to give you all the best the region of Provence has to offer, quiet and peaceful, after some days at the crowded Rivièra...what a relief !!! We really feel at home, and cannot wait to pack !! Jouques, here we come (7th year?)

Four cycling couples (including myself) visited Le Catalan B&B overnight and all were immensely impressed by the standard of the rural home and the courtesy of the hosts. There did not seem to be anything our hosts Phillipa and Magalie could not do for us. We have all rated this B&B as amongst the best we have stayed at anywhere in the world.

We've known this place for such a long time that we have forgotten how unique it is. Magalie and Philippe are friends but we often stay there or send people as we always find a new charm. The place, the rooms, the breakfast, the serene atmosphere and the warmful and special welcome from the owners. Highly highly recommended..

Conclusion: Perfect! My first, but definitely not my last time. If you like it personally, friendly and naturally: Relax at Le Catalan and its surrounding. - Hosts Philippe and Magalie: very nice, helpful, open minded, not complicated (very rare!), humorous.... - Room: very spacious, very clean, well decorated, well working Wifi - Breakfast: delicious (marmalade, fruit salad and freshly squeezed orange juice are great), very flexible: not in a special time line (Philippe: "You are in vacation. Alarm clock is forbidden. We just leave you the breakfast in the kitchen....") - Location Le Catalan: very calm, in the nature, perfect to relax (like for me from busy, but beautiful Paris), lots of things offered (pool, trampoline, table tennis, for rainy/ cooler days: chess, TV/ DVD, table soccer!, etc), ideal for single travelers + couples + families (enough space to relax - quietly - for everybody) - The region: Wow.... Hiking, great and diverse nature, old history, beautiful villages, reachability of larger nice cities (Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, etc), great wine, very good restaurants, nice people ... Merci beaucoup, Philippe et Magalie. Je reviendrai :-)

In this lovely place, we had our honeymoon. It was a small hidden paradise where the lovely couple, Philippe and Magali took good care of us! Great breakfast, lovely rooms and great facilities. I strongly recommend this to everyone who wants a relaxing holiday. Loved it!!!

Spent 4 days out of a week in Provence - in the end, we wished we could have spent the entire week here. Picturesque doesn't begin to describe this quaint old property - complete with goats and goatherds, lavender fields, breakfast served by the owners. They went out of their way to help us any way they could - called a local vineyard owner to let him know we were coming by to sample some wines, loaned us his large-scale map to try to navigate the impenetrable French road system (get GPS.) Just perfect.
