Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a great place to stay! Just a five minute drive to St Andrews town centre and the golf courses. We stayed in the Tack Room which was a wonderfully presented one bedroom apartment with the bedroom upstairs on a mezzanine floor overlooking the lounge. It had big picture windows which enjoyed fantastic views towards the sea. The bathroom was basically a wet room with a lovely walk in shower and everything was spotlessly clean. The well appointed kitchen was at the rear of the lounge and there was a table and chairs to sit down for meals. The lounge had two sofas and a flat screen tv on the wall. Linda, our host, met us shortly after we arrived and was lovely and had already recommended restaurants for us which were wonderful. I would really recommend staying here.

Room Tip: Plenty of parking. Try to avoid the Lammas Fair in St Andrews in the middle of August as it is...

We returned to Knockhill in August for anther short break and as previously, enjoyed our stay there very much. Linda, the host is very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Spacious, comfortable accommodation with amazing views over the valley. Delicious breakfasts and nothing is too much trouble. Linda is a mine of information and directed us to an osprey viewing site not far away which gave us a rare experience. We highly recommend a stay here.

I stayed 12 nights at Knockhill Farm as part of a golfing trip to St Andrews with seven other golfers. I can only describe my stay as fabulous, everything was perfect. The B&B is set on a hill providing the rooms with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside and down to the Eden estuary. The rooms were spacious and tastefully decorated and there is a choice of one or two level units. Linda was the perfect host and nothing was too much trouble for her. The breakfasts she prepared for us were great and there was a very good selection. I have no hesitation in recommending Knockhill Farm.

We had a lovely 2 night stay at Knockhill Farm. Linda was very welcoming and knowledgeable of the local area and she cooks a delicious breakfast, offering lots of options. The accommodation is very comfortable and has everything you could want. It’s bright, clean and very spacious. The B&B is in a beautiful setting with amazing views, very peaceful and just a few minutes drive to the local pub for delicious food. We would definitely stay here again.

Decided to come to St.Andrews and surrounding area for the first time. Knockhill Farm B&B is in a lovely location with fantastic views of the surrounding hills and countryside. Linda is a lovely host and the breakfast was very nice. The room was very spacious with all you need and if anything extra was needed then Linda would supply. Would highly recommend this B&B as you are not far away from St.Andrews and the surrounding attractions to visit. We would definitely come back again. Thank you.😁

My wife and I returned to Knockhill Farm B&B in July this year and were not disappointed. Linda, the host is friendly and welcoming and the standard of the accommodation is as good as always. All the rooms have great views and are very spacious. Nice refreshment trays with fresh milk every day. Comfortable beds and huge showers. Breakfast is fantastic with a good selection and friendly service. Lovely peaceful location with lots of parking. Definitely recommended.
