The site is fine, toilets clean and close to all pitches, and everything in working order. However the showers were cold past midmorning and the site is not set up for families with LOTS of rules very harshly presented. I obviously looked like a Rule breaker as they were explained to me in great detail whereas the next customer was simply asked to report rule breakers! There is also a patrol car which drives round regularly despite being a small site walked in under 5 mins. You have to ask permission for a BBQ and there are no ball games/frisbes anywhere on site except the playground where children have to be supervised at all times. So it meant our kids couldn't play unless we all left the tent and walked to the far side of the site. I can understand why they have these rules, there are a lot of people who clearly keep tourers here and visit everyweekend and they don't want kids running riot. It's a site that's well designed for them or for older couples as it's peaceful. Its a nice location, slightly nosiey in the day as its next to a go cart track but silent in the evening. Good Internet speed on the free service, and paid options too which were very handy.

Lovely, well maintained, clean, small campsite. A little bit on the expensive side for what and where it is, which is right next to a race track and can get noisy with cars screeching around corners but this does stop at 5pm. It seems that some seasonal campers use the track facility and tend to leave at 4.30am and their car was not the quietest leaving, but not the parks fault, natbe noisy cars should be made to park in the carpark at the front. Facilities are good, you can store your caravan here and it is highly rated for its security. There was only one thing that I wasn't too keen on and that was the warden who seemed to constantly circle to make sure you were off by 11am, because we were running a few minutes late he seemed to hang around. Our friends who've stayed there for quite a few years and store their caravan did mention that it was so much better a few years ago when you could stay until 4pm on a day and the shop was open until 9.30pm. Apart from that it was a nice place.

Just arrived home after staying here for a week, the race circuit is close by this was not a problem as we could not hear the racing at all, however we was pitched on the other side of the site, Thu Fri Sat Sun there was car banger racing at the entrance of the park on the right hand side, the racing was on all day the noise was teririble. Reception never gave us any info about the area of where to visit noting, just gave us a map of the site and our pitch number. The site also allows seasonal pitches where those who have a seasonal pitch think its within there right to park the cars where ever they seemed to like, Showers was way to hot temperature wise. Overall not what it says on there webpage, Will not recommend nor return.

Response from Louise Mitchell, Owner at Llandow Caravan and Camping Park

Hi Kerry, I am so sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your stay with us. I'm not sure what you mean about the 'banger racing' at the entrance to the park? There is nowhere for there to be banger racing at the entrance to the park. It isn't possible. There was the supercar experience days happening at the circuit Thursday - Sunday, which finishes at 5pm. These are road cars that don't tend to cause a great deal of noise. We have lots of tourist information in our laundry areas and on our website. Maybe we need to make this clearer on arrival. I'll make a note of this on our welcome email so that our visits don't miss this in future. We have recently turned down the heating on the showers in response to customer feedback. We could have done this at the time if you had raised the issue during your stay! Best wishes, Louise

Really enjoyed the stay. Site was flat & tidy great for those who stay in drive away awnings or tents, plenty of room between each pitch. Staff was friendly. Park is in walking distance of the cafe at Llandow Circuit

Just had a short break at Llandow in this great campsite. Site very peaceful with very clean toilet and showers. Only 4 miles the local town which has some lovely old buildings where you can restock your supplies. We had a meal in the Victoria Inn which again is 2.5 miles away and we would definitely recommend the food, very nice. If you want to take a quiet camping or Caravanning holiday with your family then Llandow is the place to go

This park is ideal for visiting the area. It has lovely clean toilets and showers. Plenty of room on the pitch. Staff very friendly and helpful. We used this sight as a stop over on the Thursday and then again on the way back on the Sunday. They were good enough to make sure we had the same pitch as it was late when we came back.

This was the first time we had been to Wales with our caravan, it was fab from start to finish. Our pitch was lovely and spacious, the showers were of a high standard, lovely and warm and also very clean. The dog walk was great too. The staff in reception were really nice and also helpful when we needed to get gas. Lovely short drive to Barry and also we loved the beach at Ogmore, so did the kids and the dog

This park is as good as it gets. LOVELY helpful staff, the maintenance of everything is flawless, the grounds are perfect. The loos and showers are always immaculate. The icing on the cake is that the site across the road has a brilliant dog walk! No leaving the site to exercise the woofer. We are always very sad to leave and counting the days until,we can return. Bliss.

Great caravan site - handy dog walk field - easy drive to Barry Island and the coast is nearby. Very close to the Llandow car and karting circuit which is in walking distance. We would use this site again.
