Very nice, colonial-style hotel. Nice rooms and nice sorroundings, in a quiet and natural environment. They manage to offset these advantages by: 1) lack of heating on rooms 2) despite being in the highest season and packed to full occupance, the hotel wouldn't activate some basic features such as communal fireplace in lobby, and the restaurant for breakfast and dinner....

I had never been to Tlalpujahua so was not very familiar with the city layout. This hotel is in a very quiet end of town but, as others have mentioned, a bit remote should you be wanting to park and walk into town. It´s about 1/4 mile but the road is not really very safe to walk. There are really...

This is nice hotel but it has zero services. You must go into town about a mile away to fine restaurants or simple food shopping. There are no heaters in the rooms so it can get very chilly in the evening. They do provide extra blankets and pillows. There is no internet or cellphone coverage. The basic television cable is...

I was hear for a wedding in a close-by town. Mansion san antonio greets you with a steep car-accessible climb from the main road entrance, the hotel is visibly majestic; clean and greeting. My boyfriend and I only had outr laptops for work and a small pack of clothes each and this was good as there is no one to...

This is a nice hotel but everything was closed when we were there and it was Monarch Butterfly season. Our arrival was not great as the bellhop was uninterested and unhelpful. The receptionist, however, was excellent and our room was very spacious. The hotel grounds are lovely with a nice view of the mountains and lovely grounds and rooftop. In...

There are not many choices when it comes to hotels in this part of Mexico, and like most reviewers we stayed here to be close to the Monarch butterfly sanctuaries. The hotel is located near the twon of Tlalpujahua, which is very convienient. However, it is also high up in the mountains, which makes for some cold nights during the...

This new hotel is a great option to stay overnight on the way to see the monarch butterfly grove. It is nice and clean, not noisy and attended by friendly people all time. They care of the garden here not to mention the pool (think about it on winter). I just want to say a word about the restaurant: NO....

My husband and I stayed here with a group while visiting the Monarch Butterfly sanctuaries in the area. The hotel is very clean and pleasant and is in a beautiful setting. The food in the restaurant was very tasty. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful, even though most of them did not speak English as has been...

We spent a few days here while down in Tlalpujahau for the Monarch butterfly migration. The location is about an hour away from both sanctuaries we visited. The entrance to the hotel could use some MAJOR work, but generally speaking, the rooms and the grounds are very clean. The food is authentic and tasty. No one in our group had...

This is a very nice, clean, well maintained hotel. Great setting and beautiful grounds and views. There are a few minor inconveniences, but none really worth writing about. In the US it probably would be considered a 3-star hotel in a 5-star setting. The staff members are all very very pleasant and well trained. Unfortunately no one in the hotel...
