Large 3 bed unit with a wrap around balcony in the Breakwater building. Private pool and spa for Breakwater guests was good, plus the use of an outdoor pool, with a great area for toddlers. The indoor pool was freezing unfortunately and the three indoor spas were not relaxing with so many babies and children using them. Both lounges could...

We go to shoal bay ramada every year. The last few times we were a little disappointed with how run down resort is. Lifts never work rooms are smelly. We used to love it there buffer every morning kids club, ordering drinks and food in the pool area. The last few times there was nothing and no buffet at all....

Hair on bed & bedside table along with the dust. Bed dipped into middle & I could feel the springs. Extremely uncomfortable. Mould in bathroom sink. Water from shower goes all over the bathroom floor and is very dangerous. Uncomfortable lounge. Outdated room. The only good thing about this place is the views, pool & spa. Nice location. Not worth...

Booked an "ocean view apartment" online, and they delivered. Spacious room, nice kitchen, large tv, comfy couch. Only major complains are: - the bathroom! The shower/bath sink is so clogged that my shower slowly turned into a bath, my feet were soaking in the leftover shampoo and conditioner because the water WOULD NOT DRAIN. It took twenty minutes after my...

Just had 4 days at Shoal Bay at the Ramada Resort Shoal Bay. We had a 1 bedroom apartment in the Heritage building which overlooks the Bay on the beach front. My only disappointment was the bed......could feel the springs in places. Otherwise it was an excellent stay. The staff were extremely helpful and always polite and happy. Great facilities...

A two night stay here was plenty enough for us. The 'resort' lacks any sort of charm, and looks like it's being used as a cash cow by its owners. Hallways are dingy and our room wasn't much better and looked like it needed modernising . The whole resort is spread across numerous buildings, all of which are different in...

Booked on line a month or so ago. Requested by phone last week "an ocean view " and asked again at check in. Staff uninterested and almost dismissive with request. When we arrived at our room 212, our view was the brick wall of adjoining unit block! Very spartan room, thankfully bed was comfy. Other guests we met up with...

Very confusing - upon arrival there was no explanation that car parking was nowhere near my room. That meant having to go get car and bring it back to reception to get a luggage trolley, take everything to room and then return car to parking bay. One elevator in parking bay "out of order" for duration of my 6 night...

(if only there was an option to put zero satisfaction with our stay) Having a few days off from work, booked our room and we were kicked out the following morning at 9.15am with a man walking into the apartment WITHOUT warning to fumigate. We were not told at check in, they did not tell us when we booked and...

Stayed as a couple for the weekend. The unit overlooking the bay was great ! Clean and well presented with comfy bed. Not 5 stars as the resort is quite run down..broken tiles around pool, corroded fittings everywhere, clunky elevator ! which was also very hot.. On the positive side the resort has a lovely beach straight across the road....
