Our stay at Ramanda was a fairly average experience. Thankfully Shoal Bay/Port Stephens delivered in enjoyable experiences outside of this. The room was spacious, however had a few medium sized spiders on the curtain. Our key cards for our room & elevators stopped working 3 times, and it was very annoying having to wait in line at reception for the...

The Ramada resort replaced the old Country Club which was a Shoal Bay icon 30 years ago. Located opposite Shoal Bay beach with wonderful views of the bay this is a good place to stay. The 'resort' consists of a number of buildings. We requested a sea view and had splendid views towards the heads and across the bay. Our...

Ever been entrapped by some 'acquaintance' selling Amway?? Fancy this happening to you on holiday before you've even made it to reception?? Then the Ramada 'Resort' is for you. As soon as you get out of your car they are trying to con you into a free breakfast for a 'few minutes' of your time. I'M ON VACATION!!! How about...

The rooms here are a mixed bag. Our last stay saw us in a very compact 2 bedroom unit where you could only just walk around the bed. This time our room is more spacious but has a lovely view of the car park! For us the highlights of staying here are the relaxing set of 3 mineral spas in...

They have internet the cost was excellent and was able for use for a whole month. But this was very well priced according to charges that I was quoted from other place of the years. The...

We booked a partial ocean view room - 511 - Booking in late afternoon was easy and we found the Girl polite, we did ask for a later checkout of 11 am but was told no. We headed across the road to our building and parked the car then waited what seemed an eternity for the 1 lift that worked...

My wife and i stayed in a beachfront suite in the heritage building at the front of the resort. the room itself was quite spacious. although it could probably do with a mild spruce up, it was generally clean and comfortable. the location and views over the bay were very good. there were a few negatives though. the spa bath...

Lovely area. Beautiful view. Great pool, spa and cafés, but the room spa was barely a fart in the water, the lounge was busted, and my pillow was like a flat lumpy sandbag. Other than that, wonderful. Bring plenty of sunscreen! ** I had given this 4 stars, but am changing to 2 after we got ambushed with a "free...

Stayed for a last minute short break at this Resort, very happy with the Resort overall. Reception staff were extremely friendly and genuinely welcoming. We had a one bedroom balcony apartment with water views, full bathroom and kitchen. Layout was good and unit immaculately clean. Nice bathroom freebies plus tea, coffee facilities. Air-conditioning worked well, kingsize bed very comfortable, all...
