The hotel is in an excellent location easily accessible and has fabulous views. The atmosphere is homely and the staff are wonderful and friendly. The room was great would have liked a better view as we were in the room at the side but it was perfectly adequate and was very nice and clean. he hotel lobby, bar and restaurant were great with a lovely wood burner which added to the atmosphere and homliness. The food was first class we ate in all 3 evenings and the food was superb with exciting dishes that were different to anything we had eaten before. The pool and hot tub were just the added bonus. The surrounding area is beautiful and we were very lucky to see the peaks at their best when it snowed. I think we went at the perfect time of year and will certainly return next year.
From the very start of our stay we were made welcome nothing was to much trouble we had the sharer tomahawk steak it was delicious will definitely coming back for another the service in the bar and restaurant was excellent can’t wait to book another mini break
Me and my boyfriend stayed the Friday/ Saturday just gone here! On arrival we were meet my a lovely lady called Nicky who was very plesant! Our room was sufficient clean and average size plus dog friendly! Breakfast was lovely we both ordered the full English and we had toast jam and marmalade no extra cost! We Also made use of the swimming pool snd hot tub! Nice touch as we hadn’t expected this! Although it could of been warmer that might of been due to the cold weather or the fact the previous guests hadn’t put the lid back on! Maggs is a lively lady and couldn’t do enough Thank you
This weekend stay was a surprise by my husband for my birthday. We stayed in the Windermere apartment. I honestly can’t fault the room it was so lovely and spacious for the 3 of us (our daughter too) gorgeous view on the balcony, excellent wet room and amazing star gazing windows. The first night we chose to eat in the hotel restaurant. The draught lagers were terrible unfortunately. So we moved on to the gold bitter - equally not the best. It wasn’t helped by the fact the bar staff didn’t have a clue, serving the drinks in hot glasses, this is basic common sense not to do this, surely? The food takes a while but very tasty and lovely. The biscoff apple crumble was beautiful 10/10. Breakfast was also very lovely with thick cut bacon and local sausages and eggs. A real treat!! The only reason I’ve give 4* and not 5* is the fact that the draught beers/ale needs immediate attention, the food is very slow to come out and the pool and hot tub was cold. We will definitely be back and hope these minor niggles are rectified. Thank you for a nice time in a perfect location.…
We loved everything about this hotel just wish we could've stayed longer as we only had 2 nights . It was spotlessly clean . Lovely fluffy towels , fresh Egyptian cotton bedding and fantastic powerful shower . Our apartment was so spacious with a fabulous terrace . Breakfast was lovely especially the Cumberland sausage . Room service for breakfast was great we didn't have to dress to go to the restaurant , had breakfast at leisure and didn't have to shower till after breakfast . We had complimentary cake and hot chocolate and coffee on our arrival day which was lovely and much appreciated . Believe or not even after all this the thing that stood out about the Embleton for us were the staff , they were fantastic and a credit to the hotel .
