I arrived the other day and was greeted by a waiter who was the most polite and welcoming, he signed our receipt under the name of Ross but I would like to find him surname and thank him personally as he was such a great host

How I wish that I had read the reviews for this hotel more thoroughly as I naively thought that I was booking into a country hotel. We were allocated the aptly named ‘Blue Ice’ room which was so inadequately heated that even with the curtains folded up into the window recesses the temperature was not sufficiently improved. The large shower...

Never again will I step foot in The Manor in Burton. The list of reasons why is too long to list but I will start and finish by saying, they charged us 10% of our bill (£15!) because my nephew was sick (over my sister in laws dinner plate) and said that was the going rate - 10% , to...

Atmosphere surroundings and decor was a pleasant surprise. The service was good but the food was what it was all about first hot in the last five meals we have had our in other places and top marks to the chef all of us were happy. Recently had a meal at kings which was served stone cold and double the...

Stayed here on a Friday night. Our first impression was that the hotel was quaint and comfortable. It was in a quiet location and nicely decorated. I usually find that small hotels have a nice boutique feel with attention to detail throughout, particularly the bedrooms but though we found numerous plus points about this hotel overall we found the standard...

This is a cut above your normal Toby Carvery but at a higher price. Great choice of meats & the chef was very helpful & made sure you had what you wanted. A nice different choice of vegetables plus gravy & condiments Always busy so worth booking or going in late

Asked for some peas and was told they would bring out with carrots but never arrived.... whole meal was warm... complained when paying bill and two meals were taken...

We had a fabulous 3 course lunch here today which we normally would not manage but the food was too delicious to resist!! The added bonus of excellent service by Emily means we will definitely return.

We were booked in for one night by our children , as a treat. The room was located furthest away from reception up a narrow flight of stairs , through several fire doors. Had to carry our own bags ,not great for old folks. Comfortable room ,good bathroom , no view. Wifi ( promised on website) did not work ,...

A family group of 7 of us visited today for my cousin's birthday and we were all appalled by the customer service. Such a shame because the food was lovely and the place had the potential to be great but one waitress in particular really let the side down. She swanned around as if she owned the place with a...
